Prosmeats all the basic needs of a car. Consneed's a fair amount of work done.

The Green Meanie. — I love my '99 Alero, even though she does have her problems from time to time. But, what car doesn't? She's does average on gas mileage & handling. She's got nice acceleration for a sedan witch is very nice, and it's fun to drive... she's got some spunk. She's kind of a pickle when it comes to getting fixed because it happens pretty often, but I know other Alero owners who never get anything done to them besides the basic new tires & oil changes and what not. So it's probably just my luck with mine. One of the best things about my car is that it has an amazing comfortable factor. Most people that have been in my car love it because it's inviting and relaxing ( so I'm told). And it's also just a nice car to cruse around in. When ever I need to get away I just drive around in her for a while and it's my own house of zen, haha. It's a great 1st car. :]

Better Than An "a To B" Car, But Not A High Performance Sports Car Either. — This car has some good qualities and some bad ones too. It doesn't accelerate very well but it's braking is great. Trying to keep up with a more powerful car is almost impossible, but once it gets going it goes and if you need to stop quick, it does. It handles how you want it to. If you drive it hard it handles great, if you drive it like your grandparents would, then it handles like they would want it to. It is getting old now so it is starting to need repairs, but they are not outside anything a 9 year old car with over 100k miles on it would need. It is a very nice looking car, its sporty looking with out jacking up your insurance. Lots of room inside. Quite comfortable. It gets decent gas mileage, I don't know the exact but it is decent. It does depend a lot on how you drive it as well. Maintenance costs aren't too bad on it either. It is quite a nice car to own. I have fun with it! It's not a fast powerful sports or muscle car, but it looks good and it is better than an "A to B" type of car.

Trollalero — last dyno made 209 hp to the motor and 190 to wheels with 220 lbs of torque...weighs 2783 lbs with driver lol 0-60 id say is somewhere in the mid 6's so pretty slow mods are cai, exhaust, bigger throttle body, zzp chip....and weight reduction Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Alero — Loved this car. Loved how it handled after it was lowered and the adding of the Stiffer rear sway-bar. Got good gas mileage until it had the Lower Intake Manifold gasket leak (Only major issue with he car the whole time I owned it) Wheel bearings were a 2nd issue but nothing like the LIM gasket issue. Primary Use: Family transportation

Alero Absolute. Loving. Excellent. Reliable. Oldsmobile — Performance - It has a 2.4L I4 that has good acceleration, its light weight, so its easy to brake, handling isnt so great when you stomp on it, because of front wheel drive, but its fine otherwise. I like it because it is a great car for a commuter, also for sport. Build Quality - not bad, its got a few dings and scratches, Im going to put in a new re-ring kit in it, new cylinder heads, new plugs, points, wires, injectors, and pretty much everything else to rebuild it. Appearance - great style, i like it, I just put in a kenwood excelon deck. the bad thing is i got a bad driver door window regulator, but i can live with it for a while. Cost of Ownership - I get anywhere from 24 to 34 miles per gallon with it, and maintenance is fairly cheap. Primary Use: Commuting to work
