Lovin Merc's Slk — i absolutly loved this car! bein a 2 seater converable ment i could get time on my own to enjoy the car. it handled so well and stuck to the road in every situation, acceration was fast and it doesn't seem like you doing the speeds you were, opps! good job the brakes were just as good as acceleration. nothing went wrong with this car, altough the service form mercs are expensive!!

ProsLove my Baby! ConsExpensive parts, Vehicle permit fees high in Greece for this car!

Worth Every Penny! — Just love the sleek appearance and quality attention to detail. Cool roof that disappears into the trunk once it's down. Love the way it drives, the sound of the engine and the awesome acceleration in matter of seconds. Perfect car to vacation with on the Greek Isles!! Parts are expensive when needed, however not that often. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsTop reason to drive this car- the speed. ConsTop reason to avoid this car- It will not hold a family of over 2 hahaha.

Bottom Line- Another Beautiful Car By Mercedes-benz. — I love the speed, the hard convertible top, and the look of my lil car :-) She accelerates very fast and shifts gears extremely smoothly. The only problem I have is with the interior console area-the leather/paint is chipping off. But overall, I have had no problems at all with this car. It is extremely fun to drive and every time I take it out I get compliments and it definitely turns heads. I love German engineering. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Mercedes Slk 230 Kompressor — Fab car, nearly wrote it off on the 1st day I took it out. Had it for 2 months then found out was pregnant!! Can't really get a baby seat in the back. Traded it in for another Merc but no where near as nice. Good whilst it lasted. Massive boot even when you have the top down, quite costly on the fuel but was an absolute dream to drive and leaves the cheapo boy racers standing anyday

ProsVery drivable car ConsHaving to buy four summer tires and four winter tires

Best Touring Roadster — For the past 30+ years, starting in high school, I was a Brit car guy. I've had an MGA, Cortina, Lotus and a Spitfire. They were all fun cars, some even very comptetitive, but all were tempermental. I finally got tired of spending more time under the car, than in it, so I sold the Spitfire. to replace it and become my daily driver, I found a beautiful 99 SLK and re-discovered what a fun drive could be. The car is responsive, nimble, comfortable in any weather, and reliable! Being a hard top convertable, I drive it year round and enjoy it every day. It's big enough to cruise the super highways, small enough to be fun on the twisty side roads, and who doesn't love a convertable in the sun shine. Owner for 1 years, 2 months Miles Driven per Year:15,000

A Real Kick To Drive — Fun and easy to drive, cheap and easy to maintain. It has a easy to open top and has lots of space for luggage compared to other roadsters in it's class, even with the top down. I would and will buy another in the future. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Prosduel heating and cooling, hard-top convertible, Benz Consengine is kinda load, but the car cant rev... one time the hard top jammed on me, that sucked, and the car could be faster

Over All.... Its A Great Car For Being Built On Left Over C-class Parts — i love the car, i drive it every day when its sunny! even if the temp outside is 45 degrees LOL as long as its sunny you'll see me cruising with the top down. the car not a Ferrari it wont accelerate in less the 4 sec or take the turns like a BMW M but its luxury's and sporty as a new Lexus and that all that matter's to me... for now you gotta admit, this car inst bad for a high school/college student LOL

ProsGood acceleration, Handling, Interior Styling ConsTurning angle, Noise, Steering

Nice Drive, Not The Prettiest Car, Wouldn't Waste My Money On One — Very nice interior, I drove one with a full AMG interior. Had 19" Rims, Ride wasn't stiff which a good thing but turning angle was rubbish... Made a 3 point turn into a 5 point turn. Gear changes were smooth, steering is the same if not worse than my mums falcon. Very heavy on the pedal. With this car your either cruising or absolutly flying. Was good on acceleration, but doesnt make a very inspiring noise when being pounded (sounds like a grizzly bear yawning). Braking was good. Has pretty good visibility out of all view points with the acception of the rear window. |
