This Was The Small Suv That Made Small Suvs Really Popular! — This is the first SUV to win Motor Trend's Sports Utility of the Year. This was the birth of a new icon, and Lexus made sure everything was perfect. The interior is just like a Mercedes, the leather is top quality, the wood is the real deal and not that cheap "simulated" kind, the interior is extremely quiet. Overall, a wonderful car.

ProsGreat ride, my wife loves it. Most car seats don't fit her very well and the seat belt hurts her shoulder, but not this one. ConsEngine light is always on. We've put a/c compressor, thermostat, and many more repairs. It seems to never end. Finally learned to ignore it.

Great Car With Bad Engine Light. — Expensive to fix, It seems the engine warning light system causes trouble. We are getting rid of it, but other cars feel like junk once you are used to the Lexus. It really wasn't a bad car, it just took us a while to learn to ignore the engine light. Note to others, it's a great car, don't let the engine light ruin your experience. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Very Nice — This was my in-laws vehicle, I primarily drove it to help my mother in law out when I had gone to stay with them after my divorce... I know sounds odd, but considering they were on my side... The only major thing I heard about was when my MIL got into an accident after the transmission had slipped into neutral Primary Use: Family transportation | ||

Got It For Wife In 05 — The car was perfect for us, we had 2 girls ant the time and it fit her style needs,function and space. Now 2 kids later with a total of 4 kids we just needed more room and went with an odyssey.Other than that cant complain. If somethings needed to be replaced , example power steering, timing belt etc. that is going to be expensive but you should know that coming into it. Primary Use: Family transportation | ||

Awesome. I Love It — This is a gold lexus rx 300. It is awesome. Leather interior, metal bars on front an back. Rides like no other, very smooth. Not very fast. V6 engine. Very good stereo. Overall, it is a very good car despite being a 1999. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||
