ProsEasy steering and safe a long with high gas milage. Conssmaller body

Great Car — fast acceleration and on the dime stop brakes. smaller car so easier handling. sturdy body. about 40 MPG and easy maintenance and havent had any major issues. Fun car to drive. it has been reliable for me the entire time I have had it. I have had to put virtually no money in this car and it always seems to run perfectly, low purchase price, decent styling. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

1999 Honda Civic Si Coupe Review
Prosacceleration is quick, def a fast street car, 0-60 in about 7 sec flat. turns and corners like a champ Consrear seat room in almost 2 small for a 5 year old, head room, belt squel, could really use a 6 speed for better highway driving.

My 99 Si — I really like the car, i havent really started moding it YET, but it is deffinately the fastest car i have owned, it does 0-60 in like 7 sec. flat, turns and handles very well, LOVE it and would recomend to anyone lookin for their first tuner car.

ProsLight, fun to drive Consneeds a bit more pickup (working on that :-p)

Damn Good Car! — This is one the best cars I have driven in a long time. It has lots of horse power for its size. Great on gas! I am getting 42mpg highway and 38mpg city! That is if I can keep myself from redlining it at every red light. I would suggest this car to almost anyone.

ProsExtremely reliable, great gas mileage, nice styling, very comfortable given compact class Consnone, love this car

Best Deal For The Dollars — I've owned my Honda Civic for over 10 years and am so impressed with it. If anyone is in the market for an affordable car that performs on all fronts this is the car. Great mileage averaging 38-39 miles to the gallon, very good fit and finish. My Honda has 229k on it and there is not one rattle in the car, it still drives like new! Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsGood looks, VTEC, handling, build quality, Constransmission shifts rough, I don't have it anymore

I Should Have Never Traded It In. — The car I should have never got rid of. It handled like a sports car. The VTEC was revvy but slow overall. The Auto transmission shifts rough but is geared well to the torqueless engine. The ride was rather rough at times but acceptable considering it handled well. I didn't realize how much I like this car until I traded it in on a 05 Toyota Matrix Primary Use: Commuting to work

1999 Honda Civic LX Review
Prosrridiculously reliable Consthe interior is a sea of grey
65
1999 Civic Lx — A reliable car but it offers nearly no excitement at all. The interior is comfortable but only if you are keen on everything being grey. Definitely a dreary interior. The exterior styling has aged well but is almost as dreary as the interior. Everything is solifd apart from a catalytic converter heat shield which rattled its way free (seems common for this car). Fun Factor? well, really needs to be thrashed to be remotely fun...there is a reason this car is popular with the elderly. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsDriveability, retained value ConsNothing major - electric aerial is a weak point
45
Honda Civic Ek Sedan — Civic is the benchmark small car (with the exception of the superceded model). Better performance, economy, style, and retained value than top-selling Corolla. Honda build quality is second to none + can't go wrong with made in Japan. Interior finished in plush velour. Paintwork still shiny after 10 years. Well equipped. Last of the double wishbone models.

ProsGas mileage, speed, insurance, price Conswish it was faster

Amazing Well Rounded Car — Great gas mileage, 0-60 in an acceptable 7.4 seconds, good handling, cheap to own! Good looks, not a Ferrari, Fiat or RX-8, but still nice. Love this car, just wish I could afford a blower and some black rims. Perfect car for early on, easy to learn about and mantin.

1999 Honda Civic CX Hatchback Review
ProsFun, good handling ConsLow power and bad braking
45
Sporty Civic Cx? — Performance wise, the braking and acceleration suck, the overall High RPM performance is fun and the handling is firm which is awesome on curvy roads. Exterior styling is classic Civic hatch decked out with aftermarket exhaust and cold air intake all sitting on top of 5Zigen Fighter rims and Hankook tires. |
