The Holden (opel) Barina Does Alright — My wife got this car before we got married and its been a reliable little thing ever since... until last month when the water pump died leaving me 20k's from home in peak hour traffic! Fun times. As the the quality, its not too bad. The black plastic bumpers are not handling the Australian sun that well, fading to a dull grey in patches, but overall its done well. The performance is to be expected from a 1.4L engine, but can suffer badly on long uphill runs, requiring a drop back to 3rd or 2nd in slower traffic. The upside of this little engine is the great fuel economy. We consistantly get 420-470km of city driving on a tank which doesnt break the bank at the pump. Overall, its a good little car but if you are thinking about more than 2 adults traveling regularly in this one, get something else, or shorter legs.

Barina's Are Small And Economicle, Which Makes Them Easy To Park And Cheap On The Hip Pocket — This was my first car, as first cars go you never forget them, they are your first love. This car handled well and was good for quick and long distance drives. The perfect all rounder.
