I Love It — It's an American built truck and it is awesome. Never really had any big problems with this truck. No matter what I use it for it never quits. The only thing that I can say bad about it is that I am not to much a fan of a white truck, but the pin stripping help.

Good Truck, But Could Be Better. — It's a decent truck, but the V6 lacks power, especially going up hill. Has sufficient cab space, but not for more than two people. "Bench seat" is actually split, making it more like two bucket seats with a center counsel, which I don't find as comfortable as a normal bench seat. Ride is good, and offroad capability even without 4wd is impressive. For such a big truck, I've gotten it through some tight places I wouldn't be comfortable taking another vehicle through. Body and power train are in surprisingly good condition considering its age and weather it has endured. However, be cautious in maintaining it, otherwise it'll cost you more money fixing things that have been let go (obviously).

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

With Some Upgrades, This Truck Will Be Untouchable. — What it lacks i performance it makes up for in looks. Planning many upgrades. Handles exceptionally well with the lowered suspention. Other than minor rust and basic maintenance this truck turns heads everywhere. lots of plans, just need to make the money for the parts.

Pros

looks great, rides smooth, doesnt burn oil, winter/summer performance is the same, sound system is nice now that I added a cd player. Clearence with no lift.

Cons

I had to replace a u joint when I bought it. Gas milage could be better, I havent gotten used to the bubble style body, I love the older style. But thats just me.

Great Truck In Disguise — I love tgis truck, it has always been a dream truck of mine so my opinion will be biast, but this f150 style was truck of the year for somethin like 6 years so you be the judge. Its got minor flaws but in all this vehicle is dependable and fun pending on the mood your in that day.

Pros

fun to drive, very quick for a 4wd truck, 5.4 v8, tough as nails.

Cons

This vehicle is very thirsty for gasoline, but!, this is primarily due to the fact that i can't keep my foot outta the gas pedal lol.

I Would Own More Than One Of These Trucks If I Could Afford To, Definatly A Good Buy. — I love this truck, it is tough as nails, has a fantastic sound to it i love loud exhaust, it has true dual flowmasters, 5.4 v8, plenty of power, plenty of torque, decent gas mileage around 15-16mpg average, but i get down in it every chance i get. i run mobil 1 5w30 in it and it doesn't use one drop of oil between changes, and i'm sittin at 190,000, all in all i don't have any complaints about the truck other than it has a led odometer and it tends to stay blank alot of the time, but other than that i love the thing and i would recommend it to anyone.

I Like This Vehicle Even With The Minor Repairs — Silver F-150 extended cab sport with 17" wheels. With over 115000 miles, I have gotten good use from this truck. The only thing I have replaced so far is the power steering unit. Although it needs some hefty work now to replace the heater core and mayb a check up to look into the hesitation problem now, for the money I have spent on maintaining this vehicle I would say I am comfortable with this truck. It has some minor dings in it where people have hit it with their vehicle doors. My wife used to drive it before me and so it was garage kept for the first 85000 miles. It still looks great and am going to fix my small problems and keep it till it just won't go no more.

Good Enough For Now — It isn't Ford's best truck, but for what it is, it does pretty well and it does what I've needed it to do. Its 11 years old, has 140,000 miles on it, and is still running fine. It only has the 4.2 L V-6, but its handled Cleveland winter exceptionally so far, I'm satisfied with it until I need something bigger.

What Can I Say Its A Work Truck — Bought this truck in 02 with 55,000 miles, great looking, still get compliments. Runs great, 200,000 mi, only changed one coil pack and 2 alternators. Some cold weather knock as of late but thats been all. Very happy and will stay with Ford, although never had Chevy truck trouble either. Looks great, tows good, breaking with trailer less than optimal as rear drum breaks are on this truck.
