Pros

Excellent power and handling.  This vehicle has 158000 miles on it and it still runs like new.  Aside from minor maintenance, it has been trouble free.

Cons

Nothing

American V8 At Its Best. — American V8 is all that it is made out to be. The truck looks good and drives great. Lots of power and the gas consumption is not that terrible. Given that we take good car of our cars, it is not surprising that the car is virtually trouble free.

One Of The Best — Good dependable vehicle for a decent price. The truck has a nice styled body and clean flowing curves in the interior of the truck. This is my second F-150 and I have only had to do minor repairs to each vehicle.

Long bed I'd buy again.

Cons

The driver rear hinge on box.

Git R Done. — It was a spirited vehicle that sold itself with it's long bed. Motor was full of powerfully black and gray combustion - green for 1999. Cost - worth every penny schilling yen peso euro and five spot. Build was spec'd as case caterpillar cummins as TRUCK!

Pros

Atrractive styling & colors.  Easy-to-access bed because of its stepside design.  Sliding rear window enhances storage.  Carpets, leather, engine compartment & bedliner have been reconditioned recently.

Cons

Outside seam of driver seat  has started to wear from action of driver getting in/out.  Newer shock absorbers make the ride a little firm.

It's In The Upper End Of Better-than-average To Very Good Condition. — The truck handles well and has attractive colors, design and look. Good acceleration, turning, stability and braking. Can see all four corners while turning or parking. All mechanical systems work well. The seats are comfortable and the interior has had good care. Easy to climb in and out with side steps for interior and bed. Easy to remove the tali gate when necessary.

Still In The Works — I have used this truck to haul my 32 ft 4000 dry weigh travel trailer from Georgia to Colorado. It has new rims, paint and a bed cover since the pictures, I will try to add them. I have put a factory rebuilt engine, redone the rear end before the haul to Colorado and have done my best to hit every service onetime. I am hoping to keep this truck until it is a classic. Looking to change the paint to a primer of some kind and put in new interior. We will see.

1999 Ford F-150 Lariat Review — step side makes it incredibly easy to get into and out of the box. very well powered doesn't lack any horse power. incredibly comfortable in the front seats with lots of leg room for other passengers. this truck is fun to off-road and 4X4, handles very well off-road.

It's WHITE

I Love It — It's an American built truck and it is awesome. Never really had any big problems with this truck. No matter what I use it for it never quits. The only thing that I can say bad about it is that I am not to much a fan of a white truck, but the pin stripping help.

Poor gas mileage even for a truck, 4x4 shifter is difficult to manipulate, V6 lacks power

Good Truck, But Could Be Better. — It's a decent truck, but the V6 lacks power, especially going up hill. Has sufficient cab space, but not for more than two people. "Bench seat" is actually split, making it more like two bucket seats with a center counsel, which I don't find as comfortable as a normal bench seat. Ride is good, and offroad capability even without 4wd is impressive. For such a big truck, I've gotten it through some tight places I wouldn't be comfortable taking another vehicle through. Body and power train are in surprisingly good condition considering its age and weather it has endured. However, be cautious in maintaining it, otherwise it'll cost you more money fixing things that have been let go (obviously).

With Some Upgrades, This Truck Will Be Untouchable. — What it lacks i performance it makes up for in looks. Planning many upgrades. Handles exceptionally well with the lowered suspention. Other than minor rust and basic maintenance this truck turns heads everywhere. lots of plans, just need to make the money for the parts.
