Pros

Stunning looks, super quick, and sounds like a supercar.  Oh and a decent back seat too!

Cons

Running costs higher than a normal car, but who the hell wants a normal car?!

Modified Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo Plus, Electric Blue — Poweeeerrrrrr! Modified to around 320bhp, and sounds awesome too, thanks to the Miltek stainless steel exhaust and sports cat. Front wheel drive and front engine layout not the best for the twisty B roads, but for pure straight line acceleration there's very little on the the road can touch it - M3s, Imprezas, even the mighty Evo FQ320 have all fallen in a striaght line. On a track it would be a different story, but when you're handing our your own bragging rights, you keep the playing field just how you want it eh ;) The car still eye-catching looks even today, despite the design being around 15 years old now; never fails to draw attention whenever it goes past. And man.. does it go past. Interior styled by Pininfarina, classy dash and recaro leather seats do the job just nicely. And since mine is the 20vt Plus, it also gets nice white 180mph dials, which have also had aluminium surrounds added for the final finishing touch. Contrary to popular belief, the exterior wasn't styled by Pininfarina (hence just the company name logo appearing on and inside the car, not the full badge). Instead, it was designed by Chris Bangle, the man who redesigned the BMW range. It just looks fantastic, and in the Electric Blue with red calipers and the Plus sideskirts, it is in my opinion one of the best looking Coupes out there. Considering how little money these can be picked up for (though make sure you're sitting comfortably when you get your insurance quote, especially if you go down the modding route like me!) it's hard to see why more of them don't get snapped up. Maybe people are just to scared of the potential running costs, but if you get a decent, well-looked after model, then the costs aren't as bad as you think. A standard 20v Turbo will return 29mpg combined, which is pretty good for a car with a top speed of 155mph and a 0-60 time of just over 6 seconds. For the ultimate though, and yes that includes the fuel consumption (gulp!), it's almost rude not to throw a few aftermarket parts.. just make sure you research fully and do the job properly, you can't just stick a chip and a whacking great turbo under the bonnet and expect the car to last too long. Thankfully, mine has the full works, and I love it to pieces :)

Real Italian Spirit For Small Amount Of Money?! — When i drive a car I expect something dramatic, something that you can not explain with words. The Italians are better in that than every other nations. When i first look at the Coupe i was amazed by the design and the looks. From that moment i decide that i want to buy that car. When i asked for the price ,there were another good news for me.The test drive was spectacular and the interior too,so i bought that car. When i hit my first 5.000 miles i realized that i was infatuated by the car looks or acceleration or how nice is inside the car.The ride was hard, the electronics brakes all the time and its not very economical and safe too. To sum it up - FIAT COUPE is a car for fun to drive, but there are a lot's of drawbacks to buy it.But if you want to expire a true Italian spirit and one very sporty vehicle - forget about the drawbacks and just go for it !!!

Fiat Coupe — Performance is very good, but maintenance costs are high. Build Quality is better than the other FIATs from the same time. It is very fun to drive this car. Keep in mind that this is a pure sports car. That's why on Bulgarian roads must be driven with a lot of attention. Otherwise daily will crush things in holes.

Excellent Preformance Buy, Good Styling/performance For The Money! — My QP is an excellent drive! Love the styling and quality has been really good. Really love the turbo power! The only drawback is a noisy highway drive a somewhat bumpy ride. Really recommended, some really nice owners forums on the web as fell, especially www.fiatklubben.nu

Pros

Performance, looks, unbeatable bang for buck

Cons

thirsty, needs a lot of tlc like most italian sportsters

Classic Italian Coue Gem — Lovely car, flawed yet forgiveable. Great performance for your money in 20vt form, lots of grip yet understeers easily in slower corners, strong brakes when warm. Built better than you might expect, a few rattles appear with time but are easily sorted with tightening of a few nuts and bolts. reliability is classic italian - solid overall and great engines that can go on and on forever if cared for, but it does require a lot of pampering to keep at its best. Fuel economy can be over 30mpg yet averages about 23mpg in my 20vt - not great, but bearable. Great looking cars inside and out, one of the few 90s coupes to have aged well. With fiat option 'Zender' bodykit and some nicer wheels and lowering springs can be made into a real stunner. If you expect this car to be what it is, buy one. It'll need tlc to keep it going at its prime but thats half the charm - its not a car, its a love affair. Its a flawed gem. Undoubtably fun to drive and grabs attention.
