Pros

Has awesome off the line power, low-end torque, can make it seat like a limmo in no time! awesome family vehicle for 7, and its 4X4!

Cons

I love the 5.9L, but the fuel economy could be much better 6MPG with the ac on, 12 elseware, 18 if your lucky lol and, it has the loudest dam clutch fan I've ever heard! 1 word, roar!

Overall Great Vehicle! — I love the styling, the grill doesn't seem to hold up over the years from shutting the hood, the top plastic started cracking in 3 different places, but thats minor, gas mileage could be better, I think that seems to be what people dislike most about the 5 9 magnum engines, Great build quality, and parts are all over the place for this thing! my X fiancĂ© wrecked it about a year ago, and broke the drivers side turn-signal assembly, a local salvage gave me one for $15! its very comfortable, Lol my father likes driving it more than his 03 explorer eddi bower addition with Leather seats, only thing I need to do to it is replace the brake disks, align the front-end and put some brand new, never hit the road meaty jeep tires on the front, cause that's what's on the rear on and we'll be set! we love driving the Durango!

Mean Little Goat — I love my truck perfect for hunting buggy.Pulls anything i hook behind it.Stopping load is another story.Back seats are made for munchkins.Maintenance is easy and cheap.122580 miles and have only replaced the cat converter and tires. I have a 5.5 inch lift.33 inch tires and a flowmaster exhaust system.

Looking To Replace It — There are not enough perks to overshadow the continuing problems with it overall. I barely use the 3rd row, and it takes a bit of work to get anyone back there. I'm okay with the amount of space. The 4WD is nice.

Love It — Zero repair costs with 110,000 miles. Fits 8 people comfortably, and drives like a dream! I don't think there s a dollar amount tat would buy this rig from me. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to get a used SUV for a good price.

Pros

There is a lot of space in this vehicle.

Cons

This space is no good if it will not run.  Working on my 14th PCM, they even admit they are bad, and it is going to be a chore to find one that works.  ABS/Brake light module on for years.  Driving down the highway and it will just shut off!  Very dangerous as the power goes out of the steering and brakes.  This is the worst car ever.   Look at car complaints dot com, and look it up.  It is ridiculous!

Clunker Of The Century — See cons above. Worst vehicle ever. This car is dangerous, unreliable, and it is inconceivable that no one will do anything about it. It is all of the internet as a mess of a vehicle. I just hope no one has died due to the problems it has.

Pros

The power from the 360 (5.9) is the best in class .. Power, Ability, Price, Cost of Maintenance put this 'Rango in a Class by it self  *** upto 2001

Cons

Fuel Milage

The Price Is Down On These, Pick One Up For Fun ! — Next to the H1, Defender and Cherokee this is one of the best off-road vehicles made. With minor upgrades this vehicle can get you in some serious trouble ! This is one of the last 4x4's that can be worked on by a shade tree mechanic.

It Was A Pleasure — Loved this SUV from the beginning. And, it was reliable for many years. The transmission was replaced once and I ended up trading it because it was going out again. Because it was over ten years old, it was time to trade instead of sink more money into it. Quite a few parts were replaced through the years. Can't remember them all, but overall the vehicle was one of the best I've ever had.

Its Not A Bad Suv. — It is a gas pig but it will pull a house from its foundation. It has the 5.9l 4x4 w/392 gears. I am disappointed with mopars rusting issues and their idea of fixing the rust under the manufacture warranty.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros

Love the body style, the looks, big tires, 4x4, plenty of space inside for my daughter and her friends and whatever else I need to transport. 5.9 360 :-), Power to spare. Clean user friendly cockpit, cup holders for those kids that aren't thirsty until they get in the car.

Cons

Transmission, Transmission and ohhh, did I mention the Transmission.... 4 speed + O/D. Supposedly it was rebuilt just before I bought it, Not shifting into 4th or O/D with out having to shift to neutral, let the rpms drop below 1K then go back to drive and it shifts. Could be minor problem with sensors.... Hoping so!!! If it doesn't have an external cooler for Tranny, get one. Keep fluids and filter changed with only dealer supplied transmission filters and ATF+4 only.

Feel Like A Kid In A Life Size Tonka Toy — Keep your transmission in check as well as changing your fluids as scheduled and she'll not let ya down. High maint. cost, but worth it. Interior has plenty of room for hauling whatever or how many ever. Use cruise control when possible to get every bit of mpg's as you can. Bought my 99 in 2012, 137000 miles and is still super clean inside, no cracked dash or borken plastic hear or there. Good interior quality. Only four speaker stereo system. If you like your tunes as I do, go after market with speakers and stereo. Handles great, stops on a dime, surprisingly tight turning radius. Thought it would be like turning a tank, but found it to be like any mid size car as far as the room needed to turn around or maneuver.
