Pros

Comfort and clean line style are these years Tahoe's. I like the 4wheel drive and the comfortable ride.

Cons

Don't complain about gas mileage or don't own it. This is not an economy car.

Good Looking, Comfortable, Powerful, Handles Well. — While I like the styling, handling, and all the creature comforts of this vehicle they did have some problems with instrument clusters (and I have). I converted this unit to four wheel disk breaking for towing. Still own this rig and have no intention of selling.

1999 2 Door Tahoe Review — Would be a great car for hunting, hauling, or driving around town. Very reliable and looks great. Seats are comfortable and durable. Gas mileage is not great, but car accelerates and handles very well. Very fun to drive. Overall a great car.

Pros

Better mileage than an Explorer or ANY import (non-domestic owned)SUV!  Proven Engine, Transmission and Drivetrain.  Has taken a lot of abuse and still looks good.

Cons

Set me back a lot coin in it's day.  They were no deals to be had on these things in 1998 and 1999.  Would like a new one just because but this one isn't done yet.

Owned Mine Since New And It's A Part Of The Family. — I've used mine as a truck. It is a truck. It may not be as loaded with electronic junk as the new ones but then, everything still functions after 145,000 miles and 9 years. It does very well as the family wagon and has made many trips across the continent without a problem.

Which I Still Had It Actually! — Was great while it lasted. Comfy to drive, good on gas, plenty of power. But when the family came, we needed more room. The color wasnnt my favorite, nither was the insede, but it did the job that was needed.

Pros

Torque and Power

Cons

Gas mileage....

45

My Tahoe — In a world where gas prices are ridiculous - this thing is expensive. I love it though - I put a lift and 35 inch tires on it and beat the crap out of it - I've been everywhere with this thing including 4 trips from Idaho to Michigan and back - I also towed a Semi-Truck with it - it was awesome - Love the power and the ride is very nice - I did however blow the transmission and rear differential but alas it was a good time doing it. I've decided my motto should be "go until it sounds expensive, then go a little more" as that's pretty much what I did. Other than that....I love it

Someday I'll have to give it up

Big Blue — 216,000 miles and she's still going strong. 4x4 and clean as a whistle. Great truck! Should last at least another 216k. Can tow a house and get you through snow anything with 4 wheel drive. Nothing can beat a V8.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

tons of room and great 4x4

Cons

gas consumption

Great Second Car — i enjoy the truck for the room and the 4x4 in winter driving. i have 170,000 miles and have not had problems other than minor repairs. the obvious set back is the gas consumption but it is our second car so we don't use it for every day driving.
