Def Recommend This Truck For The Full Sized Suv Lover.... — Great all around truck, well built, easy to maintain, easy to repair, holds 8 passengers or seats fold down and remove for a full 8 ft enclosed bed, 5.7L LS1 has great hp and torque, passes on highway with ease even with many passengers or towing a trailer, shift on the fly tranfer case works great for the most part, rarely it will jam in 4-low.... ProsBig, tough, SAFE vehicle with lots of comfort features. Looks nice, drives pleasantly. ConsAny aging vehicle with lots of miles is going to spend the occasional weekend at the mechanic's garage...

Great Family Vehicle That We Get To Drive On Free Fuel! — We bought this truck ultimately to pull a travel trailer with, in order to replace our motorhome which gas prices had permanently benched. I have converted it to run on the waste vegetable oil that restaurants discard, thus currently saving us about $400/mo in regular fuel expenses. We already have about 40k miles on veggie oil, so the system has proven itself quite well. I bought the newest Suburban they put a Diesel (required for the conversion) in, but it's still a nine-year-old vehicle with plenty of miles... While we've had a few issues relating to its age, there have been no significant issues with the conversion thus far. It's so nice to still enjoy the freedom to jump in and take a Saturday drive to the mountains, etc., without pausing to consider whether we can justify spend the money on $4/gal fuel... We hope to put a trailer behind it this spring and resume the pleasure of camping together again. You can see more about it here: dieselplace.com/forum/garage.php? do=view&g=3908 Primary Use: Family transportation

Fully loaded with power everything, love the space hate the mileage. I can't wait to straight axle convert this hog! The vortec 350 is also a huge plus compared to the tbi or carb... Wonderful — Well over 200K and still runs like new. All the room for family to pile in and head out for whatever you want. Never been in shop for repairs other than routine maintenance. Gas mileage is OK for the size and weight of the vehicle. Brakes could be better but they will stop with adequate distance you don't tailgate in this baby Primary Use: Family transportation
