Def Recommend This Truck For The Full Sized Suv Lover.... — Great all around truck, well built, easy to maintain, easy to repair, holds 8 passengers or seats fold down and remove for a full 8 ft enclosed bed, 5.7L LS1 has great hp and torque, passes on highway with ease even with many passengers or towing a trailer, shift on the fly tranfer case works great for the most part, rarely it will jam in 4-low....

Big, tough, SAFE vehicle with lots of comfort features. Looks nice, drives pleasantly.

Cons

Any aging vehicle with lots of miles is going to spend the occasional weekend at the mechanic's garage...

Great Family Vehicle That We Get To Drive On Free Fuel! — We bought this truck ultimately to pull a travel trailer with, in order to replace our motorhome which gas prices had permanently benched. I have converted it to run on the waste vegetable oil that restaurants discard, thus currently saving us about $400/mo in regular fuel expenses. We already have about 40k miles on veggie oil, so the system has proven itself quite well. I bought the newest Suburban they put a Diesel (required for the conversion) in, but it's still a nine-year-old vehicle with plenty of miles... While we've had a few issues relating to its age, there have been no significant issues with the conversion thus far. It's so nice to still enjoy the freedom to jump in and take a Saturday drive to the mountains, etc., without pausing to consider whether we can justify spend the money on $4/gal fuel... We hope to put a trailer behind it this spring and resume the pleasure of camping together again. You can see more about it here: dieselplace.com/forum/garage.php? do=view&g=3908

Great Weekend Car For Camping Or Snow Trips. — Stillen suburban has lots of power with its supercharged 5.7 l engine. It also has 6 piston brakes in front, and 4 pistons in back. Brakes great . Has Bilstein shocks. No repairs so far. Gets only 17 mpg on a good day...normally only 13 mpg. Seats 9 people with seat belts. Has 5 TV screens, DVD, CD, TV, VHS, Playstation, dynamat sound proofing.

Prim Time Runner — Fun truck to go any where with. I can go to work, go up north with ALL the buds, hook an ice shack or trailer on or anything basically. Fully loaded with power everything, love the space hate the mileage. I can't wait to straight axle convert this hog! The vortec 350 is also a huge plus compared to the tbi or carb...

Wonderful — Well over 200K and still runs like new. All the room for family to pile in and head out for whatever you want. Never been in shop for repairs other than routine maintenance. Gas mileage is OK for the size and weight of the vehicle. Brakes could be better but they will stop with adequate distance you don't tailgate in this baby

Good Suv — Love this vehicle. Have 228830 miles on it. the high gas prices are starting to make it suck to drive. I like the performance and power of the 5.7 350. Has been a reliable vehicle and not so much break down issues.

Daily Driver — K2500 454 Vortec with 4L80E, Detroit Locker in 14 bolt full floater rear 3500 springs and torsion bars. it handles like a sports car with the stiff springs, and can pass people going uphill while towing a 25' chris craft

Would Suggest — Great car for taking trips and hauling a family of 6 around.Gas milage is not great but that is to be expected. Interior is nice with the leather and easy to clean. Would suggest if you have a large family
