Best I've Owned. Love It And Can't Envision Letting Go Of It. — I bought my Silverado new in June '99. It has been used as a workhorse and a daily driver since day one. It has performed flawlessly and has hauled/towed many times without a problem, including nearly 10,000 lbs of Bobcat 8000 series skid steer with 2,000 lb. trailer and two 3,300 lb. crates of ceramic floor tile in the bed. I didn't have to replace the original pads on the 4 wheel disc/ABS brakes until 92,000 miles. I installed a 6 inch lift kit, 35-12.50-17 tires and 17" x 8" alloy wheels in 2006 along with a Superchips programmer and cold air intake and this truck will go about anywhere. It is now over 10 years old with 165,000 miles and it keeps going strong. I recently replaced the power steering pump and the water pump, the first semi-major parts replacements the truck has needed. It has easily been the best automobile of the 17 I have owned. It's still my daily driver and workhorse and I have no plans to buy another truck anytime in the foreseeable future. Two big thumbs up! Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Yes Its A Chevy And Yes That Is An Ou Plate On The Front — If you are looking for an off-roading beast this is it the gas mileage sucks but it has the power to throw your head back and take off down the road it is a chevy truck thats all no more to add Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Old Faithful — This truck started out as my dad's work truck for the farm, and when I turned 16 it became mine, and now it has 180,000 miles and the only thing that had to be replaced was the fuel pump at 150000. It is an absolute tank and one of the best trucks I have ever driven. The 6.0 is a great engine with lots of power, and mpg isn't great but not too bad at 14.5 | ||

Pure Awsomeness — its the best truck ever it has more power than i know wat to do with it and it kicks ass in the mud. it was expensive and tons of fun to drive. it has a tool box. and big 35" tires Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

Dunno — I really wasn't all that fast even without the governor. Acceleration was poor, braking was terrible, handling was not too bad. Needed many, many repairs, had quite a few squeaks. Interior/exterior styling poor. 12 - 14 mpg. It was somewhat fun to drive however. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||
