ProsIf you want problems ConsDon't even think about making an offer.

A Pure Junk. — This car is the worst garbage can I ever own. Ok to pass on highway, great top mechanism (very simple to use), but the car itself was based on the regular car, and not reinforced to compensate the fact there was not top to hold everything together. The dash board was a real video game (lights everywhere). Visit to the dealer once a month for any reason. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsCheap to own, Very solid body. Ran good and consistently. ConsIt looks fairly girlly but if can suck it up u save and arm and a leg on gas.

With Parts Being Cheap For This Car And An Engine That Can Last Forever Ull Keep It Around Forever. — It get very good gas mileage, with 38/Highway and 34/city the little 4 banger gets uo and goes pretty easily and it was just overall fun to to drive. I would buy it again. It was always very realiable and i only ever had 1 problem with the power steering but it was fixed pretty easily. Primary Use: Commuting to work

1999 Cavalier — My car is an overall peice of crap... breaks down constantly, sounds horrible, drives even worst, and nobody in the world has ever liked the looks of a cavalier :P Fun to drift, fun to put the pedal to the floor just beacuse it sounds like its going fast, but really your still going 30kph Primary Use: Commuting to work

Proscheap, fuel efficient, standard Consif you cant drive standard

Good Times — Accelerates and handles well, IF you can drive standard. Lots of rust, but i blame poor car care for that, she handed me a can of paint and said "this is to cover the rust". Interior is nice, and i like to look of the exterior. Cheap to buy, really good on gas, maintenance, nothing you couldn't do yourself if you had the time and a bit of skill. Love the 5 speed, really fun to drive.

ProsA lot of bang for your buck ConsProblematic

Quite A Bit Of Bang For Your Buck But Don't Expect To Drive Years On End Without Replacing A Parts. — I dislike that the Cavaliers are very unreliable cars. I hate that they are known for blowing headgaskets, struts are know to go and crack interior pieces near windshields and that wheel bearings are a known thing to replace on them. Very nice ride though. I suggest 5 speed. But they are very tourquey 5 speed. Trust me on that one. Burn rubber through first and second gear. And about 195+km/h factory engine depending on how much you bag it. And also that slave cylinders are a another known part to go. I like mine though. They can look unreal if you mod them. (Bodykit, spoiler, rims, performance exhaust pipe, window tint, etc.) Overall: Quite a bit of bang for your buck but don't expect to drive years on end without replacing a couple parts. Primary Use: Family transportation

Good Solid Car, Not A Sports Car But Def. Better Than Walking — Good on Gravel, fairly solid. Lots of squeaks and rattles. Not that great on gas, seen better and worse. Looks like what it is; A family car. It's ok to drive, wouldn't say that its real fun, but not hard either. Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsQuick, Sporty, Good Handling ConsBasic, No Options

Chevy Cavalier Coupe — This could be a very nice car. The RS though, has absolutely no options. The higher end Cavaliers though are very nice. Mine had power nothing. No power windows, no power locks, NOTHING. The car was quick, sporty look. The 25% tint made look nice and mean. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsGood gas mileage, great maneuverability, Delilah blue. ConsSlow, was totalled easily.

Great First Car. — This was a great first car, I fell in love with it when I first saw it on the dealership lot. For the most part it was carefree as far as maintenance, for the most part whatever went wrong was covered by the warranty. Very maneuverable as I found out by weaving in-between cars on the highway, could cruise at 109 MPH when you really had to get to the next town to pee!
