My Favorite In A Line Of 6 Trucks I've Owned — Despite the 10 mpg, it is a great truck. I've hauled 25,000 lbs (gross, truck & trailer) 4,000 miles and the 4L80E is incredibly durable. My truck has 320,000 miles on the original powertrain. (454 gas w/ 4L80E 4 speed auto). It still runs & idles smoothly and quietly. The interior is still in nice shape and i find the power leather seats to be more comfortable than the new trucks. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

All Work And Time Left To Play With The Youngins — it has good solid construction a few modifications and the dually lets it hook up really well. the worst part is the gas mileage but lets be reasonable it is a work truck and gets the job done with the least amount of diesel fuel necessary. so don't complain if you are a city pretty who bought a 1 ton and doesn't need it for hauling each and every day. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||
