Pros

Very comfy, a lot of storage allthough it looks quite sporty, fairly cheap car all in all if cared for

Cons

Not the best grip in the world, and stiff clutch

Odd Choices Sometimes Pay Back Bigtime — This car has never let me down, and it's cheap to run too, considering the amount of omph and the size of it. Bought it with the clock at 89 000 km, it's now been running every day without any kind of trouble (except change of exhaust pipes last year) and is now klocked at 167 000 km. Allthough I've driven cars that behave better on curvy roads it definitely isn't all that bad, and it has got fairly good acceleration as well, but it is more of mile-guzzler than a fun car to drive. Clutch is quite stiff, but the feeling from your feet to the engine is very good - Mind, if you drive through a lot of traffic jams every day, your left leg will get a lot of exercise:-) The seats though, are the best to be found in any kind of vehicle, plus I kind of like the quirky looks of it - it grows on you:-)

Pros

Um, it accelerates like a rocket after a tad bit of lag. Turbos are great on the highway, not so much around town. 27 mpg when I'm in  a good mood.

Cons

Once, the trim fell out. But that was an easy fix. Sometimes the lip spoiler touches the ground on hills..

Swedish Canon — Out of our full stable of cars (all 2 of them) this is by far the best. The '98 Saab, though possessing a mere 188 horsepower, is quite fast. There may be some turbo lag around the city ( you plant your foot, and a half-second later, you get rocket acceleration. But the half-second...). Ours is fully loaded with heated seats ( who cares? we live in California) and a 6-disc cd changer. It was pretty cheap used, we've had no repairs except a little trim, and for a 10+ year old car, its in pretty good nick.

As my daily driver, I enjoy this car very much. Great color, Cosmic Blue Metallic and all  Beige leather interior, car is an eye catcher. Handles great on the winding roads. Attracts much attention.

Cons

Have spent a lot of money on maintainance but worth it.

It's A Keeper. — Fell in love with this car when I first saw it and have taken long trips with it, to North Carolina and Outer Banks having no trouble with it. Enjoy it most in the summer with the top down and the AC works great. Good winter car also, never got stuck in the snow. Handles Great with a lot of Turbo power.

You Either Love It Or Hate It! — Well firstly it's not a convertible, it's a Talladega, this application didn't have my trim on the option list. The handling on this car is fantastic, I would never go with another car for handling. The acceleration isn't very fast, but the top end is really good! The build quality of it is superb! It looks really good and weird! It does not do so well on fuel though, only about 23 mpg in the summer, and in the winter about 17mpg. This car is very fun to drive, but not as fun as the classic 900 turbo!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

I Like It :) — pulls like a motha. looks great. I've had it since April '08 and only had to replace the clutch master cylinder and t-stat. Average 27-30 mpg with heavy right foot. Little rattley at times though. good price too. Chassis is not too impressive.

Primary Use: Commuting to work
