Turning circle!!!

Awesome Little Hot Hatch! — The Peugeot I owned was the fire breathing GTI 6! Great little hot hatch very quick car! Performance was second to none! handing was sharp! However if you wanted to do a three point turn then you would end up doing about a ten point turn the turning circle was terrible!!! Build quality seem to be a little cheap in my opinion electric windows were a little on the rough side when opening & shutting! Opening & closing doors were a bit tinny! Not a nice contact if you know what I mean, also very dated interior! Exterior was smart which made up for certain issues! Overall a good quick car! I do Kind of regret selling it but felt it may start costing me money! They still hold there price very well today!

Generally Well Looked After By Previous Owners. — Performance: 1.8ltr auto engine was ok. Smooth acceleration. Brakes were a bit soft. Hanlding was light and easy. Build Quality: good overall. Appearance: Good, the newer model were better. Cost of ownership: cheap, had a bit of an oil leak and fan squeaked.

A Great First Time Car — This car is a sporty car. Gaining good speed with its 1.4 engine. The Car is well built, sturdy little car, handles bends nicely. Very light on petrol nice interior in the car with driver air bag and adjustable seat, clean and accessible engine easy to navigate way around it The following is based on driving on Flat Grass lands Performance: The Acceleration on the car is very good building up speed nice and quickly and not having to rev the engine before changing gears. Breaking is alright its a bit hard to say because the test driving is not done on proper road surfacing. I will say that in this car you had to brake early if going at good speed. Handling on the car... is another tough tricky one because on several occasions the car had just skidded into grass when locking right. of course that's down to my driving. But otherwise i felt the car handled nicely on the bends even in wet weather. the weight of the car helps to keep it level. Build Quality: I'd say its well built in my opinion. Doors are good heavy doors. Has it needed repairs it does now. the exhaust seems to fill the boot which in turn fills the car with fumes. The electrical's causes a problem by leaking because of the Aerial right above allowing water to mess up the electrical's. Not really much rust on it which is great. no rust from natural problems only where marks have been formed. Appearance: Well i do like the car it is sporty looking and with a spoiler and the right body kit can look even better. back bumper mostly. The Seats are quiet comfortable with there semi bucket style. Dash i nice layout with the center console slightly angled towards the driver for easy access. removing the cigarette lighter would be a great place for a push button starter specially if your a lefty like me. Doors are nicely built and with most metal work covered up by plastic looks very nice. Cost of Ownership: Besides having to buy bits for it its not all that bad. Fuel is pretty decent on the 1.4 with about 9 liters getting you 6-7 miles. I dont know if its just the second hand bulbs i managed to get my hands on but the bulbs seem to be a bit of an issue blowing on me. and the fog lights seem to be a pain to get at to change. im sure you have to go from under the car to get at them unless they slide out. Fun Factor: Sporty car. fast and comfy which for the bumpy terrain its brilliant.

Pros

Economical, comfortable and reliable

Cons

liftt off oversteer, if u cant handle it may kill you lol

French Fart, Satisfying At The Time, But Still French — This is my most recent, and current car. It is a good and very comfortable car, and the 1.9 non turbo diesel. Its fantastic for economy but not performance, however i have found a great way to have fun in the wet, its called lift off oversteer and it happens with little or no warning, and all u can do is try to catch it! Its not so bad on the build quality as far as body and engine are concerned but it is a french car so usual electric probs from time to time, over all if i had at least 100 hp more itd be fantasic fun!

Pros

The feeling you get

Cons

Can be pricey to fix if you do not get a good one

Country Lane Laugh — Performance: Acceleraion is standard as on any 1800 so has a bit of boot but could do with a fair amount more. Build quality: Pretty good but sills seem to get damaged quite easily and have had to replace them. Also it is noisy on motorways with the roof up. Appearance: The interior looks and feels wonderful on the leather models, very plastic based on the dash though which dulls the experience to a degree. Exterior wise I think that it is a beautiful car that has the perfect amount of curves and edges needed but everyone has their own opinion. Think would be much nicer if the car was a little lower and the arches were a little higher. Cost Of Ownership: Maintenance wise it is a pretty sound vehicle that gets the basic attention when needed (e.g. Discs, tyres). The mpg is good if you drive it correctly but as with any vehicle if you rag it you can almost watch the fuel-dial dropping. Fun Factor: Amazing! The sense of speed when the roof is down gets the blood racing and the preciseness of cornering makes it a great toy for country lanes. The weight on the rear end when the roof is retracted helps keep the back in track on tight corners. Overall a good daily car with the fun factor their when you want it.

Good, Clean Fun — pretty nippy for a first car. 1.9 turbo diesel, interior is quite up to date with the times i would say, plenty of room and v comfortable chairs. exterior has a few bumbs and scrapes but nothing serious, 40+ miles to the gallon and a wee pocket sized fun car to drive

Pros

Allround performance as a hot-hatch

Cons

None

The Best Hot-hatch Overall! — 306GTi-6 is really the king of classic hot-hatches. Agile, good performance, stylish, it makes you smile no matter you're on a twisty road or just simply drive it. The only hot-hatch that beats 306GTi-6, on my mind, is the 205 GTi.
