Pros

Ok on gas, looked pretty cool, fun to drive, very tough and reliable.

Cons

Interior was kinda small and since it was a base model, it was all vinyl.

Good Little Truck — My second car bought from a dealership. Bought used from Saturn of Greenville, NC, with low miles. Paid to have AC installed in it. It was a pretty good truck, survived hurricane floyd, driving through headlight deep water, hauling stuff, pretty much anything. Survived the snow in Boone pretty well. The only thing i didn't really like about it was the interior was kind of small for me. It was better than my Grand Am.

Best$1200 I've Ever Spent — cheap powerful enough for my needs, has no problem pulling anything i've tried hauling, 27mpg hwy, about 24-26 city , also its easily the smoothest manual I've ever driven, been great for teaching people to drive a manual in. for the price i paid i couldn't have asked for more... except a/c but i might add that here soon

Cheap Transportation, with The Ability To Haul Firewood. — I traded in a 97-F150,on this truck and decreased my bank note,by over $7700.00...I wonder how many dealers out there today would be willing to do that in todays economic downturn that we are facing today! It still ran good and is still running today. Its the first 4cyl engine truck that I owned.

Cons

It needs a new clutch and headliner

What? — I like that it's a manual. It makes it fun to drive. It's got a strong second gear in it. I can run it up to about 60 mph. It gets pretty good gas mileage, i guess. I've been told it has a very comfortable passenger seat. It really needs a new clutch. Umm that's about it.

Body looks nice.

Cons

Its to little and its 2 wheel drive.

I Would Try For A 4 Wheel Drive If You Want A Frontier. — Its to little and short. It has no power, you have to floor it to get it up a hill. But other than those i like the way the body looks and stuff like that. The inside is nice as well.

I Love My Little Truck — my 98 has the 2.4 4 cyl with a 5 sp manual 4wd tranny. i wish i had the 6 cyl 6 sp that the newer ones have, but its a good combo. gas milage isn't what i hoped a 4 cyl would be, but considering its kinda heavy, 18-19 mpg hwy isn't that bad. it has 108k miles, and runs like a bear. haven't had it long, but did all the fluids, maint when i got it. had to r&r alternator recently. its fairly clean for the age and miles. it also goes like crazy in snow, which i love! nothing better than flyin by cars while in 4wd on the highway!
