ProsLike full size trucks you will like this one. Plenty of towing power. ConsGas hog.

F150 — Fairly dependable truck. A big gas hog! I get only about 12 miles to the gallon. It has a lot of power. It should since it uses so much gas. Pulled a uhaul trailer through the mountains of Colorado and it had no problems. Feel lucky that the previous owner took care of it. The only thing is some rust underneath due to the winters in Colorado. Definitely a truck I would recommend for heavy work. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Prosits nice and quiet for when your sneakin onto a farmers land at 6 AM to hunt. Also great for towing and hauling stuff Consmpg is kinda low

Be Nice To Your Truck — Its got great handling and braking. The acceleration is great for a 4.6l v8. i wish it was a 5.4 but what can you do. I did have to do a few repairs on it over the past few years. The sway bar endlinks did rust through and have to be replaced for like $20. The rear diff got water in it and need to have the fluid changed (dont forget friction modifier!), which was due to pilot error ( don't submerge the back half of your truck in water to pull out a boat...) and brake torque burnouts do put enough to stress on your car to eventually break your u-joints. I have had a problem with a squeak in the suspension in the front passanger side. Inside of the car looks great with the 50th aniversary leather seats. Outside is a bit scratched up from hunting, but looks good after a wax, especially the 4x4 emblems on the sides. Although it costs a pretty penny to drive, with 10 - 12 mpg but if you need a truck, its a good one. Its tons of fun to drive, on and off-road. handles great in the mud if you got 4x4.

ProsIt is an overall great truck and no matter what happens to it, it will always be with me even when the wheels fall off. ConsThe only draw backs to my truck is the gas milage and some body damage.

My Truck. — my truck is 13 years old and the only problem i have had out of it is a slight coolant leak fixed it 45 minutes. It drives great and sounds great with the straights on it. Performance is pretty good for a small V8 it has great torque and handles pretty good too. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsPower, pretty, good options, power everything, can tow, milage is good for a truck Conslug pattern, mass airflow sensor, restrictive slow for air induction

Fords 1998 F-150 Xlt 5.4 Liter V-8 — All around great truck, however it was in a sort of leap year for lug patterns, and it is hard to find any rims with the 5 on 135 pattern. However the 5.4 well makes up for this in power and torque. The overhead cam and bullet proof block make it a power house for this little body. However the Mass air flow sensor is crap. Pure crap.

ProsStarts like a champ.. never had a problem ConsTie Rods.. I just thinks its the make but I seem to be bustin those things all the time

The Beast — I love the truck but its about to turn 100 soon and will definitely become the work truck instead of the normal ride soon enough. You gotta love that 4x4 and also the 32 inches of rubber. With some after market step rails the body still looks pretty clean besides some rust here and there and a few dings. Besides that there is nothing I rather be in then a big ole truck!

ProsLots of room. Seating for 3. ConsPaint job is dull.

Great Truck With Lousy Paint! — I enjoyed driving the Ford F-150. It was roomy and spacious with plenty of storage compartments. I like not having a center console and being able to move freely in the cabin. I also like being able to seat 3 people comfortably. This is a nice truck with the exception of the paint. The paint on the F-150 is very dull. Owner for 0 years, 0 months Miles Driven per Year:0

The Best Trucks In The World - Ford :-) — My truck has over 250,000 miles on it. It still runs and looks great, I would say that repair bills have been less than expected for a vehicle its age. The power and gas mileage have gone down slightly over the years, but that is expected. |
