Get The 24 Valve Cummings Diesel For Better Milage. Seats Are Not Bucket — The 8.0 litre pulls great even up 7% grade with Saab engine and parts in bed. The slimited slip differential is a must for dirt roads to reach camp grounds. The seats are not the greatest for long trips. I bought the $0 deductable 7 yr 100K mile warenty and that paid off. Had to replace the Cats (2) the Fuel pump and steering gear the first 2 years of ownership. This truck is thirsty. After the fuel pump replacement went from 14 MPG city/hwy to 10 MPG city/hwy. Custom ordered this and watched the build &transport to local dealer. sticker rates for 13,600 pulling as configured. No it not a hemi but who cares about those cute little hemi V-8's Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

The Tank — When the stupid thing runs, it RUNS! It is old, but performs great. Can tow anything. Gets 21 mpg. Goes great in the snow. Sounds pretty good. Its a lot of fun to drive. I am just sick of replacing everything in it. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

Still A Good Looking Truck. — It is the Sport model and looks really good. Rides best with a load in the bed or when towing a trailer. The ride is a little stiff empty but it is still a good riding truck. The 5 speed is a good transmission. It was made in November 1997 so it has the 12 valve Cummins and it has been no problem. The front and rear bumpers are heavy duty custom made. It is a fun truck to drive. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

Bad Ass!!!!! — This truck had a 8.0ltr V-10, dual Exhaust, 8" lift on 35" tires. This truck had more torque, and Horse power than a Dodge Ram diesel. This truck was a blast to drive, and handled great on and off road. Started every time, and never left me stranded. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

Awesome Truck — This thing drives and pulls Awesome 17 mpg city and 23 mpg Hwy 425hp and 850ft lbs of torque. 35'' Nitto tires fit perfectly on this truck. may need a 4.5'' lift so when the axles articulate when you go through a deep hole in the ground the tires won't rub on the fenders at full lock. Gotta Love The Diesel. Sounds Like A Rig In The Driveway. — the way this truck looks and sounds coming down the road is amaizing. however the build quality is a little to the left if you will. its a blast to drive with a 5.9 diesel under the hood, the cummins really makes this truck what it is. though the transmission could've been tuned better, when i want to accelerate hard it just revs out. from what i know when i purchased the truck is that the fuel pump has been replaced once, but i dont know at what mileage, this is a 1,200-1,500 doller repair. I also noticed the rearend is leaking a little bit of gear oil after driving on the highway. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Make Sure You Have A Good Diesel Mechanic To Advise You. — Love the Cummins motor, Love the turning radias, Love the over-all look (especially wiht 35" tires), not much liking the interior (especially the hard seats), don't like the lift pump causing the injection pump to prematurealy wear out, dont like the front brake rotors are more a fit for a 1/2 ton truck. The performances is decent, I have added an aftermarket torque converter and other transmission components as well as a 5" exhaust. Would love to add some other performance products in the future. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Cummins Diesel — i love to tromp on the throttle and see the black smoke roll and the tires start smokin. Its all Mopar stuff so its really expensive. This truck is really fun to drive and it sets up high too so your up above everyone! =] Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

Damien Dodge — strong truck for hauling or towing anything you could think of, purchased it after my 97 half ton was totaled, all ways wanted a 3/4 ton but this truck was built as a one ton, only bad part about the truck is i had to put a trans., fuel pump and all the freeze plugs in it. |
