ProsGreat looking, Drives smooth, Not many problems with 230k+ miles ConsIt's a sports car, so it is a little more expensive to maintain then a Minivan!

2.5l V6 — Performance wise it's great. Accelerates smooth, brakes smooth and handles perfect. Build quality, well mine has 230k miles on it and I had to replace the driver's lower ball joint and the driver's sway bar link because they went out. The windows tend to rattle at higher speeds, but it's a sports car. Appearance is great I love the way it looks Interior is all leather and the outside has a real Muscle car look without having a Mustang like everyone else. Cost of ownership is pretty low. Oil changes, Tune up's..the normal stuff. Gas mileage is good I drive about 74 highway miles on a quarter tank. Overall, It is a great car to have and a pleasure to drive I love having an Avenger because I dont see many of them and mine has 230k miles like I said and still drives like a dream |

Fun Car, And It Was Cheap — I got this car with roughly 20k on it, and it had leather, power everything, power sunroof, a quick V6, etc. It was fun to drive and treated me really well....until the trans blew up @ 100k. The turning radius was poor, but everything else on it was pretty good. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Aveeeennnngggeeeerrrrrr — good car, high top speed over 150mph, about 7.0 to 60mph, engine too small, lots of accessories and decent leather. cheap to fix and drive and it was roomy and comfortable. good build quality, no squeaks and rattles. hard ride with UHP tires. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

ProsThe car is a joy to drive, and very easy to fix on your own if you like working on your own car. ConsMost of these models develope knocking, though it is pretty simple to fix.

This Car Was And Is The Car Ive Always Wanted. — The car is perfect for me and my lifestyle. I'm very hard on my cars and this one has survived through more than i have ever seen another car put through before. I just wouldnt recomend it to anyone around 6' or taller : ) |

Good Car, Reliable, Looks Awesome, But Slow. — good car, looks awesome, the only problem is that it's rather slow. i did a 1/4 mile in 17.3 @ 82 mph. That's really slow. Good thing about it thought, is that it shares the same engine as the Mitsubishi eclipse/talon non-turbo, so they make a lot of aftermarket parts for it. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Fun To Drive, A Nice Car To Drive For Someone With Not A Lot Of Money — For a 1998, its a nice looking car. The quality of the car is decent, one problem has set me ablaze. I have considered installing intake and exhaust in order to give my car a little more pep. This car is amazing to drive- sport steering makes it so much easier to whip it around. |

A Piece Of Sh*t,but Looks Good — AKA THE TURDBOX,it has no torque, no horsepower, brakes are to small,the interior is a rattlebox i am also too tall for it the undercarriage to the point where chunks of metal fall off, it usually doesn't idle,too many unfixable exhaust leaks, the down pipe fell off and, not too easy to work on. 21MPH hard to work on, paint is just fine, the interior looks pretty good "now that i ,own it''. green cluster instead of the PISS ORANGE from the factory and how do you like the modded head/taillights. Give It A Try It Is A Good 1st Car Too Have. — Too heavy, acceleration blows! Do to weight tires go bad very fast. Sleek style. Decent MPG's. The car in itself has always been good to me. I have almost 200k miles on it and had to replace the tranny about 30k ago. Still runs pretty well. Oh and the damn door handles are known to break on the outside so... Get that fixed or your stuck going through the trunk o.0 and that aint fun! Primary Use: Commuting to work |

This Car Is Pretty Good But Would Be Better With A Manual Transmission — decently quick, solid quality, this car looks sick, i have only had to do one repair so far and the reason for the repair has nothing to do with the car but the reapir was expensive because the engine bay is so tight. gas mileage is ok, the V6 didnt come with a manual option which sucks but its pretty fun to drive. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Overall I Just Love This Car — I love this car, I will drive it til it can't be drove anymore. Overall its a sporty and reliable car. Performance: It needs a bigger engine, and def. a new tranny. Build Quality: Everything is good but the door handle quality sucks, they break off easy. Appearance: Overall I love the appearance of my car. The only bad thing on mine is that there are a few dents. Primary Use: Commuting to work |
