1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

The 1998 Monte Carlo continued to be available as an LS or Z34.  The engine on the LS remained a 3.1-liter V6 rated at 160 horsepower, while the Z34 engine got bigger, yet slightly less powerful: it was now a 3.8-liter V6 rated at 200 horsepower (the previous engine was a 3.4-liter, 215-horsepower V6).

Mileage for the LS is 20/29 city/highway, and the Z34 improved to 19/30 with the new engine.  Drivers love this car for the mileage, yet stronger-engine feel.  It is large enough for a family, yet fun enough that many drivers would like it.  Luxurious options such as power leather seats are popular, yet complaints arise about the large turning radius for the vehicle.
