ProsComfy! ConsKinda Ugly

Becky's Lumina — Even though the Lumina is huge and not very attractive, it is definately very comfortable. Five people can sit without feeling quished. It has the power to do a small burnout. The engine is extremely solid and the car will run forever. The only maintainance has been tires and oil changes.

Great Car, Especially If It's Going To Be A First Car Or Winter Vehicle. — Performance: Acceleration is ok, breaking is great, handles ok Build: built well and very reliable. Best car to drive in the winter. Appearence: factory styling and interior are great. Cost of ownership: gas mileage is awsome when it runs good. Very reliable car. No major repairs other than regular maintenance. Gets between 25 and 30mpg hwy or about 350-400mi per tank. Fun: It's ok. Not as fun as my trans am.

Prosgreat gas miles, comfortable Constoo long, and too low

Needs To Be Shorter — this car needs to have a better engine, it is a good 2.4 liter v6 for a 98. it gets good gas miles, up to 30 mpg city. the car is just a little too long i think that it needs to be shorter for the fact that you need a large garage to put the car in.

Have Put Over 200000 Miles On Her Since 1999, Still Running Strong — Incredibly reliable, never had any problems with her. In 9 years, the only thing I have had to do for her was have her EKG valve checked out. That was it. Seats are incredibly comfortable. I have been able to take trips of 600+ miles without having to stop and stretch my back out. Also, the back seat is very comfortable for sleeping if you can't make it home. Enough power to get me where I need to go, while still returning 29-32 miles per gallon. I maxxed out at 537 miles on one tank of gas, but then I had to push it the last half mile to the gas station.

ProsVery dependable. ConsAged appearance.

Where Has 158000 Miles Gone? — My lumina has been a great family car. It's been very dependable and still runs great. Besides the older styled look of the car, it's still in decent shape and rides nicely. The Lumina may not be the best looking car out there, but it's outlasted many of the others out there. ProsVery, very comfortable and roomy. Especially liked the sun roof Cons"Blah" looks, a very plain vanilla looking 4 door sedan

Nice 4 Door Sedan — Although the outside looked very plain vanilla, inside it was very plush and comfortable. The 3.8 V-6 ran great and it was a surprisingly fast car. This was the first "over powered FWD" car I owned and it took quite a bit of getting used to. Under very hard acceleration it was hard to control. The sunroof was a nice feature. The LTZ package included a handling package which was great. Primary Use: Commuting to work

I Am Very Happy With My Lumina A This Time. — The car was sold to me by a very, very dear friend and I intend to show him and the car respect as long as i have it. It is very comfortable and runs like a top when accelerating. I would not have chosen the color white but it tolerable.

ProsGood first car. Reliable. Good family car/working car. ConsMPG, seats aren't very supportive. if you're short you can have issues reaching the pedals (I'm 5'6-5'7).

Good Car For The Money. — It's a good first car.. it's been very forgiving of my heavy foot. Of course I'm getting better, but I'm not sure how many cars can take that kind of abuse. It's a hand-me-down from my grandma & she put 40,000 miles & I've already put 2000 (42000 in all) on it. I intend to trade it in because it's more car than I need. But it's definitely a good family car. Seats are lacking in support, but comfy nonetheless. It's big enough to fit 3 large western saddles (maybe more if I had more to squeeze into it) & be a good farm car. MPG isn't all that great, but if you drive a certain way, you can achieve about 25 average, I average 20. Overall, I don't mind being with this car until I can get one that's better fit for me (smaller, better MPG). I'm lucky to have such a reliable car. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Prosexcellent overall fuel economy, outstanding ride comfort, And a surprisingly stiff and sporty suspension for a 4 door saloon. ConsThere are a few features or lack there of that come to mind when I think of when i consider the Improvements that could have been made to this car. The lack cup holders in the back seats which means your passengers feel inclined to store their open beverages in the back of seat pockets, and that the rear seats do not fold down, allowing larger objects to be placed into the boot.

When Gm Built This Car They Did It Proper! — The Lumina 2nd generation sedan has a good balance of comfort, fun and practicality . This car is excellent on long trips, in terms of ride quality and fuel economy, There is little road noise inside the cabin and the Ls suspension remains firm yet still forgiving on your hind end even in the back seat, thanks in part to the Lumina's the 16" wheels. The 3100 engine is very reliable, and with over 310,000 km still offers plenty of power and no doubt about its reliability. I must cay when Gm Built this car in Oshawa they did it properly ! ProsThe gear ratios, the acceleration, the braking, visibility, heating/cooling, visibility, interior, and cargo space. ConsThe noise from the serpentine belt, suspension can be an issue sometimes, the drivers seat has no boslters, its all buckets

Great For The Spirited-one In The Family, W/o Paying For A 4 Dr Coupe. — Fun to drive in city, long distance can get boring Acceleration is amazing on this car, whether its local speeds, or freeway speeds, the torque curve is very reliable for passing that slow car, or that trailer. Only interior noise is from the exhaust, and the serpentine belt No major repairs, mostly DIY's, Primary Use: Commuting to work |
