ProsPanache, prestige, power ConsNorthstar isn't for around town; suspension for swallowing potholes, not taking curves

Realize What It Is And Appreciate It For Power, Reliability, Luxury, And Comfort. — This car is an all-around excellent car. It's not a world beater -- as an SLS, it cuts out at 115 mph, and it's somewhat wallowy in the turns. But it's a quintessential Cadillac: quiet and comfortable around town, powerful without being obnoxious, and an awesome highway machine. The Northstar is a very torquey engine and whisper quiet until you stomp on it, when the car just goes. The transmission is bulletproof and works just fine, she gets decent mileage on the road (I've recorded 32 on a completely highway (but below 65 mph) drive, but as low as 17 in town), looks like a cruise missile, is awesome in the snow, and has never given me major problems. These cars are getting older and cheaper, and their original owners are finally selling them and trading up, which means that you can get a fantastic and luxurious car rather cheaply! Treat yourself to the best American luxury. Purchase a Cadillac! Primary Use: Family transportation

Still A Great Car After All These Years. — I spent $3400 (CDN) for a Bose stereo and it came with a really nice car to carry it around in. 300HP, 4cam, 32valve Northstar V8. Performance Algorithm Shifting. Stabilitrak (Bonus: Any car that tries to save it's own ass is also trying to save mine (Which is nice, as I'm probably the one that caused the problem)). Continuously Variable Road-Sensing Suspension. Rain Sensor Wipers. The aforementioned Bose DSP 8 Speaker (1 is a sub) CD/Cassette/6disc Changer in console w/three 6disc cartridges (I had two magazines left-over from my Lansdowne UCD collection (+ two brand-new Cadillac RKE fobs #s 1 & 2)). (My Sansa e280 runs through a cassette adapter, 1000+ songs) Twelve years old, 245000km (150000mi +/-) and it still feels as good as a new Buick I had as a loaner recently. (Plus it gets better mileage than the Tahoe... This car ROCKS on a longish commute like mine.) The only factory option this car is missing is the adaptive seats, (seats adjust themselves, every four minutes, to changes in your position on the seat, and it back massages too), I don't miss them as I didn't like them when I played with them at the dealership. (Thank-you Internet... There were, apparently, only fifteen cars built with this exact build spec (Black/black and same options)). WARNING!!! Do NOT buy one of these if you don't already invite your GM technician to Christmas dinner. (Or speak fluent Cadillac or own a GM tech tool. I, thankfully, can say "yes" to both. (All three, actually. :D)) | ||

ProsI love the color its pearl white and it has limo tinted windows his and her settings for radio seat position mirrorsetc.. all leather interior inside and out the car is beautiful and pristine its a smooth ride as well and has a bose surround sound system that came stock with the car ConsThe cadilliac has a history of motor problems with the northstar motor while I have not yet encountered this problem. It still has a negative impact for viewers and potential buyers.

It Will Make Someone A Beautiful Luxery Car! — I love my cadi but I need better gas mileage out of my vehicle since Im a travel nurse tech and the cadis northstar V8 motor loves gas. it gets better gas mileage than an SUV but not so good for a car Primary Use: Commuting to work |
