Pros

Cons

nothing I can think of

I Can Beat A Honda On The Road And A Jeep On The Trails, Enough Said. — I can beat a honda on the road and a jeep on the trails, enough said. over 300,000 miles of mud, racing , hauling, beer runs, it did it all with ease. only one clutch replacement, as well as suspension and wheel bearings in all the time I owned it, and I OWNED it to the fullest. only subaru for me for ever and only the BD chassis.

Pros

rally built

Cons

sometimes can be very uncomfortable

25

Get It If You Have The Money — very nice car, great space in the back for daily stuff yet puts up great power with the twin turbo flat four. the all wheel drive system makes it good for handling and keeps it on its toes. over all a great car!

its 13 years old but still t=runs strong

Cons

we had to put to motors in it...it needs a turbo

Sweet — this car is quick car it corners good has a neat style about it and is so much fun to drive on the high way you can do high speeds without trying trying very hard you could get in trouble with it but it would totally be worth it. there are faster cars out there for sure but not many that are built as good or better than Subaru's

This Is The Most Budget Conscious Boring Car. — The performance is horrible, The car is smooth and quiet with tons of miles on it. It just runs you cant go wrong with this car unless your looking for something fun and inspiring. Cheap to fix to is always a plus when you in college.

Its awesome in the snow

Cons

There are better AWD vehicles out there

If You Want To Save Money And Drive In The Snow Look No Further. — Great for what it costs. Hold its value. Heated seats. When I first bought it it had engine problems. Fixed a gasket and put a new axle in. If its blowing hot air inside the car its a gasket problem apparently.

Pros

great looking car

Cons

avoid the 2.5 motor and if it starts to over heat get it checked out immediatly

Great Car — great car, moderate power, great handeling and the car grips really well great car for vermont weather, it hasnt needed anything to expensive and it is easy to work on. good gas mileage, no where near as good as the 2wd package but its all about the awd,

Cons

My Scoobaru — I love the fact that it has already been wrecked. and ive helped it out a little with that also. ive upgraded her with leather heated seats, stereo, navigation, tinted windows, and fog light upgrades. This car is awesome to drive. it corners like its on rails, and the get up and go power is amazing, i can get on the highway up to 80 from the start of the on ramp to the end of the on ramp in about 20 seconds. which is good considering the turns and merging. I can take this baby off road whenever. doesnt matter if there is 3 feet of snow or 4 feet of water and mud. she climbs rocks like no problem and goes over trees just fine. dirt roads are a must for this girl. she can get sidways and with the awd factor i have no problem going down the dort road at an angle. thats the front tires and the back tires coming at you at once.

Pros

handling, traction

Cons

maintenance intensive

It Is Good-pretty Good At Doing Most Things All While Looking Good. — Structurally solid with zero rattles at 123K miles, it also gets decent mileage for AWD. I average 22MPG and I drive like an animal. Handles great and feels lighter and much smaller than 3rd gen. AWD works as advertised though right now it is significantly better in dry than wet due to H rated Firestone Firehawk GTs. I will be switching to BF Goodrich Traction TA T-rated tires in the winter for tradeoff for better wet/cold weather traction. I believe it would feel unstoppable on slick surfaces with these tires. It is maintenance intensive and expensive; It has the usual high maintenance Subaru repairs like rear clutch pack for automatic transaxle, head gaskets/timing belt water pump, which the first year quad-cam NA 2.5L EJ25 motor is notorious for eating; auto shifting could be more aggressive less jerky at times and it consumes zero oil which is great for a boxer motor with as many miles on the clock and basically an engine rebuild. I switched to full synthetic and change about every 6 months. It is also better on the internals. ABS pump failed twice. Braking is still decent without, drama free but pedal feel could be improved. Visually, I think it looks great. The rio red is super bright, the hood scoop looks badass and the wheels carry that BBS laced vibe that Trans Ams, RX7s and BMWs once wore. The fog lights are massive, add to the only ok-standard lighting power and of course add visual punch to the face. Visibility is great and seats are comfortable, even on long drives. The sunroof too is massive. Interior plastic quality could be greatly improved. Minor gripes though, car is overall great. It could also benefit hugely from more HP but power is adequate. Roomy trunk and full fold down 60/40 rear bench are always useful.
