ProsPros: Handling and stand out appearance ConsCons: Gas mileage and out of production

A Fun And Sexy Car That's Well Worth The Money! — This car is F-U-N! She's an Arctic White 5.7 L-16V-V8, 4-sp automatic. Her sleek interior and exterior always turns heads. Having previously owned a 1977, the difference in handling is definitely noticeable. She handles corners as well as most of the high priced exotics, even with the stock suspension. She got all the power and torque of an old school muscle car, with most of the newer conveniences (i.e. power locks/windows, 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes, roomier truck space w/custom T-top slots, on board chip that "learns" your driving style). One really nice feature that GM has stayed true to is rear-wheel drive (she can lay some serious rubber!). At just over 100K mileage, I haven't needed any major repairs, though I have found that some of the less common parts have been discontinued and are difficult to find. Tune-ups are a little inconvenient due to the placement of the plugs/distributor and her mpg are not for the "green-hearted", but then nobody buys a Pontiac with the environment in mind, do they? All in all, if you are a fan of the All American automobile, she's a dream car and unless they decide to bring the Trans Am back, she's part of the last generation of her kind. I don't see many like her anymore (less than 14,000 Trans Ams produced in 1997) and she's a guaranteed conversation piece wherever she goes. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

165 Mph Out Of The Box, No Complaint's!! — i like this car because it has an lt4 350 qand a 6 speed transmission, along with posi rear end, and it has t- tops, and air conditioning. lpus this car will go 165 mph in bone ass stok trim! once i install my turbo setup, it should go 200+... ProsI would have to say this car is unmistakeably dangerous, but if it wasn't, what's the damn point of owning a sports car? ConsGas mileage, and cost of standard maintenance.

Beauty And Beast All In One Package. Truly A One-of-a-kind Driving Experience — Granted I have a WS.6 version with rims from an '02, but this car drives like no other. It responds VERY quickly. The absoulte LAST car you wanna drive in the snow, or a drenched road. On good weather conditions, with the T-tops out, it is amazingly fun to drive. The car is very good about abuse as well. I'm a Fireman/EMT, so I have to start it up and haul something serious at a moments notice, and it responds as if it had been warmed up and ready long before the call went out. I will more than happily admit my feeling of utter satifaction when an import rev's its motor only for me to either; scare it off with just a single rev, or to put it in its place in a drag race. Out of all the cars I have driven/owned, I'll never get rid of this car. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Sleek, Fun, Fast, And A Sure Way For Your Insurance Premiums To Go Up — one word to describe a Trans Am, TOY!!!! unless you have a base model v6, dont expect Prius gas milage, if you take it easy with a stock v8 u can manage but only recommend if you have the means for gas. Otherwise fun car for serious enthusiats, ample front legroom, except passenger footwell has hump that takes up some legroom but bareable. Overall an awsome looker that lets its presence know on the road. Overall a very solid car, have driven one cross country twice and never let me down, however i would not recommend having passengers in the back for extended trips unless they are little kids. in all reallity, this is a late model muscle car thats sole purpose is power and speed, so watch out for them Smokeys!! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

I Wish They Never Stopped Making Them. — This car is absolutely amazing. It handles like a dream and has a ton of power to show off. The gas mileage is pretty good for a V8 and i'm never disappointed with it. Get ready to be thrown back in your seat. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Good Starter Car — Great starter car for someone getting into the performance side of cars. Not too powerful but still makes you smile. Very beautiful looking car, but I wish the interior was made of nicer materials and was bigger inside. I have put about 1k in this car in maintenance and it needs nothing else to run. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

One Of The Best Cars I've Owned — Loved it, probably the best styling of the fourth generation F-Body. I miss it to this day, if it only had an LS1 I probably wouldn't have sold it. Oh well, I have the Z28 now so no more tears for this car! Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Muscle — I love this car! I've had it the longest and I intend on keeping it for a long time as well. Great performance for the price. There weren't any other good looking 300hp cars in this price range. Generally reliable if you don't race it everyday. Awesome high speed handling. Amazing low end torque, and great for drifting! And the sixth gear makes 60mph feel like nothing. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |
