Best Car I've Ever Owned! — Fantastic car... plenty of power, nice amenities, inconspicuous, and reliable as hell. Comfortable long-hauler. It's a sleeper.Love the heated seats! Classic body style still looks good after all these years! The Germans really know how to build a car!!! Bought this one for less than $1000, and can't imagine a better car for the money...

Pros

status style, long distance comfort, excellent on gas mileage, solid smooth feel, passing power that satisfies, torqued rear wheel drive, inline 6 cylinder that refuses to break, an automatic transmission that has 5 gears that feels like a real gear box

Cons

delicate computers, delicate climate control unit

The Four Door Sports Sedan That Eliminates Excuses — i always looked at this type of body style benz as the rich mans civic. easy to get around, gas mileage is impressive, refuses to break down, and can take a busy city commute abuse. as any vehicle the condition relies on how the owner maintains it. i refuse to let the paint dry up, i refuse to use cheep gas or oil, that mobile 1 and premuim gas gives you what you pay for. i dont have any excitement on spending money on a car but when i do i make sure its done properly for the long run. any car will be expensive to maintain if cheep spending was accumulated through time. when people say oh thats expensive to maintain only lets me know they are cheep spenders when the car demands maintenance that the long run has came to an end and became a drain hole. haha. the benz has eliminated any depression issues by the turn of the key and only i know this cause no one is allowed to gain my key for any reason that it is not allowed.

Cons

the body is too big, thus for beginner drivers must be extra careful!

Mercedes Benz E 320 1997 — This Mercedes Benz type, is the successful E class of all time. started since 1996 until the last model 1999. It has powerful 6-cylinder 3200CC engine, very nice suspension (although you lowered it) and of course very nice handling. The appearance of this car is so luxury, just like a prince from heaven.

Pros

Great ride, superb handling, very safe, extremely reliable and and I even though I have heard
she likes a drink' mine was quite economical.
its all class, and what a shame they don't make them like this anymore.

Cons

they can be quite cumbersome on the road but its built for comfort , not for speed.
Maintenance wise this car should only be serviced every 2 years as you can 'overservice' them.
Repair costs are high so you need to find yourself a good ex Merc mechanic that knows these particular models and that if you are intending to purchase one of this year or earlier
have it properly checked out as the head gasket ($3-5000) to replace or wiring harness can be an issue if the previous owners didn't like to maintain their cars.

This Car Could Have Saved Diana. — As above , this car has safety at number 1 covered. Number 2 is of course built for comfort and is easy on the eye. my only issues I had was rear vision, invest in parking sensors and problem solved. This model was an inline 6 and the last of, so was a little slow on acceleration BUT, once it kicked in SEE U LATER!

97 E420 Sport — The 4.2L engine is incredible, and performance only hampered by the weight of the vehicle. Surprisingly easy on tires. Great braking power. Fuel economy is around 18-20mpg mixed driving. The 5-speed automatic is very versatile and driver- adaptive. You don't get those constant upshifts-downshifts like on the earlier E320 (and ML320) models. Very roomy and comfortable. Still gets compliments!

'97 E420 - The Best Of All Worlds... — Amazing performance, one of the very safest cars in the world (at any price), excellent visibility, extremely comfortable for long-distance trips. One of the best high-performance family cars you can possibly buy. An incredible value! Safety, luxury, power, comfort, and German sedan handling. Under 84xxx miles.

Fun Family Car. — I love this car!! My lead foot loves the quick and reliable acceleration from a dead stop or to pass from a nice cruising speed. Rides smoothly and quietly. The car is sturdy and big enough for my family, yet fun enough for an enthusiast. MPG is good for 8 cylinders. FUN FUN FUN.
