Great Jeep If You Can Afford The Gas. — This has been a great Jeep. Reliability has been pretty good. I've had the fuel pump go bad on me and the fan clutch and water pump, everything else has worked perfect. The transmission is starting to have a couple issues with shifting from 2nd to 3rd and it is a common problem with the vehicles but once rebuilt the rebuild kit comes with a better seal that fixes this problem. The Orvis is fun to drive in the snow and performs excellent off-road. During the summer months it is kind of bland to drive because on-road handling is weak. I would never sell it and I'm going to try to keep it going forever.

My Couch On Wheels — It goes when you press the accelerator, stops when you press the brakes. V8 power when you need it, but accompanying fuel economy. Parts are cheap and easy to find. Good time off road, not too much excitement on the pavement.

Pros

It's fun and it's tough and it can hold a lot of cargo and pull a lot of weight.

Cons

It smells funny, but that's just because the previous owner smoked.

Great Car. — I love this car. It drives smooth, it's fairly quiet, it's the sharpest turning car I've ever seen, it's built very solid, I take it out and beat the crap out of it all the time and nothing seems to really hurt it, although the paint is quite scratched. It has great suspension and it sits a fair ways above the ground, the only thing sticking out from under it is the rear differential. It's got both driver and passenger side airbags, ABS, and a reinforced body so it's safer in rollovers. Great car.

Cheap And It Works When You Need It To. — Great Car with a really solid engine that Jeep has been using for about 25 years. Not much of a fun car. I like to call it the uber conservative vehicle. It got pretty bad gas mileage until recently when I put in an oil additive that is supposed to help restore compression in older engines. It seems to have helped I went from high 16s on interstate to 18.2. And went from about 13.8 to 16.2ish around town.

Great Vehicle On And Off The Roads — Ive always wanted a Grand Cherokee, seeing as it was the first car i ever drove. So when i saw one sitting on the side of the road with a for sale sign, i knew i had to get it. 101000 miles, and only a couple of small scratches in the paint. it also helped that the previous owner is a mechanic at the local Dodge & Jeep dealership, and he put a lot of work into it before putting it up for sale. its got great acceleration for an suv, and its got a straight 6 cyl. engine in it, so its got some power. i love taking it through the woods down trails and everything, just exploring, and it makes it quite a ways with just 2 wheel drive. i have needed the 4wd a few times, mostly just for driving through major mud puddles. ahhh cranberry bogs.. as far as the build quality, you kind of have to go easy on them. they hold up great on the roads, but the trails can be rough. gas milage is ok, around 18mpg average. maintenance is fairly inexpensive, as long as you know the right mechanic. its a sweet looking car too. the classic jeep grill, small wheelbase, and the plastic trim along the bottom of the body, it all comes together. interior is spacious, plenty of room to stretch out. and the seats are so comfortable. its really a car you can feel safe driving.

Great Suv And Off Road Vehicle — This vehicle is always reliable and handles anything you throw at it. From mud, snow and sand, it can handle it all. It takes rough roads at 60 mph with ease and handles amazingly on the highway. From back roads at 50 mph to those times when you need a little more...like 115 mph, this thing has it.
