You Just Can't Beat A Honda. The Energizer Bunny Of Cars. — I just can't say enough about this car. I got it for $2,000 off of Craigslist with 160,000 miles on it. I just turned over 250,000 miles and it's still going strong. It was an Arizona car so there's no Honda cancer present. It made it through last year's brutal winter (consistent below zero temps for almost 3 months running) with nary an issue...and it was NOT garaged at all. How lucky can a guy get.

Pros

Cons

Could have more power to make it feel great

Honda Civic — Overall it's a good car. This small car is agile and accelerate with ease...but still missing some power in the engine. The handling feels great. But I've got repair that car a few time because of the winter. This car don't perform at his best in winter and some part break easily. The appearance of my car is kinda crapy since I've got an accident on the front of the driver side. But still, that car is fun to ride!

Cons

small, few cosmetic issues,

Honda Daily Driver — This car has had the best cost of ownership experience I can possibly imagine. It performs well in a daily driver mode, but excels in it's efficient gas usage, and handles well, making it a fun car to drive. The only downside is that it doesn't take hills well, and power? None that I could see.

Pros

Cheap to maintain

Cons

Easy to steal, so you have to protect it!

Honda Power! — You can get parts anywhere, and usually easy to find. Performance wise, they can be built to be pretty fast with the right amount of money. They are cheap to buy. It is always fun to drive and it's my 3rd one. I'd buy another one!

Reliable, great gas mileage

Cons

low performance (106hp/103ft/lbs tq)

1997 Honda Civic — It's a great car for a daily driver, it gets awesome gas mileage. I bought the car hoping to be able to do an engine swap or boost it, but now I'm looking to just get a different car, hopefully a 240sx. It's been a fun car to have, reliable, not many problems. It is the DX, so its got the d16y7 which means no VTEC, so performance wise its on the low end, but it has lots of potential, and if i wasn't looking for another car, it'd be a fun car to mod.

Cons

Awesome Car — performance-not too bad, it accelerates ok for a 4 banger. braking-very good thanx to slotted rotors and srs pads. handling-it does ok i guess, for 12 year old springs and shocks. looks pretty good from the outside, couple dings here and there. cost of ownership-cheap. great on gas. i've changed the oil every 4000 miles with synthetic oil. fun factor- i love to drive it. it's so much fun to drive

Great Little Car — I loved this little car. We named it Stanley, and he was my first car. As a delivery driver in a hilly area, the maneuverability this car had was very useful, and it still had enough power to handle the incline on the roads going up the ridge.

Great Value For The Money — I really liked this civic a lot. I had it for over 10 years and it was reliable and ran well even after 200,000 miles. It was a great vehicle for commuting or for a small family. It really served me well.

Reliable Commuter Car That Can Go On Trips Too! — This car has been quite reliable with over 269,000 miles and consistently gets at least 38 or more mpg. Best observed on freeway section of a trip was 49 mpg measured by taking miles traveled divided by gallons put into tank. Seating is pretty good with good leg and headroom (no sunroof).

Best Car For The Money — My little HX amazes me just about everyday. I have owned it just over a year now and I could not be happier. I almost always enjoy an average MPG of close to 37, and it costs right around $30 to fill up, even now. The interior has held up very well. The car is not underpowered and will easily keep up with freeway traffic. It now has just over 99,000 miles on it and I am very confident that with regular maintainence it will go another 150,000 easy. The car is very fun to drive and it is cool to own something that was such a limited model, the CVT Transmission is incredibly smooth and efficient.
