Prosdependable / smooth ride Conslikes to drink the gas when driven hard

Good Truck — performance is wonderful no trouble to turn the tires over :P she also hauled one of the bigger kaboda escavators with ease. watch the cab corners cause they rust very easily! no problems with it except for regular metanace things (breaks tires etc) i must say this truck is fun and powerful even tho that it is the model with the smallest v8 avaliable Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

ProsIts a great all around vehicle ConsStill a full size pick-up with a mid size motor

I'd Recommend This Vehicle To Anyone — Performance : 4.3L V6 could use upgrading. It is seriously lacking in power and must downshift to make a hill. However for the motor itself has sufficient power if put in a smaller truck. Build Quality : Very good quality, next to no rust which is good considering its age. The truck has required little repairs outside of its general maintenance. Appearance : A very sharp looking truck both inside and out. I have personally redone the interior in black and silver adding the shine of chrome accents. The exterior has Aftermarket bumpers, hood, toneau cover and exhaust. This truck turns heads everywhere. Cost of Ownership : The truck, having a V6, is very good on gas and requires little if any maintenance. Fun Factor : I enjoy driving this truck. It is very fun aswell as cool to bomb around in. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Sierra — Acceleration is great. Lots of Power! Never had to do any major work to it. Very dependable. Very good look to the truck. If only it had a nicer grill and headlight setup. This is one of the funnest trucks that I have ever driven. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsEverything! Constoo bad its 2 whell drive, and thats it. Other than that nothing at all

This Thing Is A Beast! — Performance - This truck is fast! The 350 small block is extremely responsive and NEVER bogs down. Passing at highway speeds is effortless! All 5 gears work like new. It breaks well, but breaks are getting replaced within a week, as well as the shocks. It handles amazingly! Steering is so tight, you can turn on a dime. Build - For a 97 this truck is solid! Only some frame rust is all it has, absolutely NO body rust whatsoever, which is outstanding. Shocks are worn a little, and so are the breaks, but they are all original are are being replaces within a week. Frame is currently being undercoated with POR 15. No squeaks or rattles, just the nice sound of the throaty exhaust which i love! Appearance - I cannot get over how well this truck was kept. The body is mint except for a small dent on the hood from a broken fan belt and a small one on the tailgate. This truck looks so sharp! color really fits its style . Its a sport truck and has a mono body paint job. It also has the Chevy 454 rims. Cost - it gets 20 on the highway which is outstanding for full size truck with a 350! But with the rising gas prices, it can be costly. Maintenance is next to nothing, just a bath once in a while. Fun Factor - This truck is so fun to drive. The 5 speed manual does burnouts in 4 of the 5 gears! I just love going cruising in this truck. The stock exhaust sounds so good! It really grabs peoples attention when you drive by. I would absolutely recommend this truck to anyone!

Prosreliable, strong engine Consinterior quality

Great Truck Overall, Reliable And Strong Engine, Good Looks, Decent Interior. — I've had the truck since my sophomore year of high school and now I'm a sophomore in college. The only repairs I've made are a new fuel pump, battery, and alternator. The engine has been as reliable as anyone could ask it to be with plenty of power and torque. I love racing mustang GT's with my stock 350 vortec and beating them. It is showing some signs of age, however. The A/C doesn't work, nor does the windshield washer fluid pump. It is rusting above the rear wheel wells and inside the driver side door. The plastic dash is losing its paint and cracking around the bolts. 120K miles and it is still a great truck all things considered. I don't plan on selling it any time soon. 3" body lift with 32" Toyo Open Country A/T's, K&N filter

Powerful And Eternally Reliable. — Strong running, powerful truck that has had next to no problems. Mine has 150+ thousand miles on it and I use it for work and trail driving only, basically i beat the doors off the poor beast and it runs like a new truck still.

ProsAwesome power on the new Vortec engine. Unstopable 4WD. Sharp styling on the step side. The blue/green color gets lots of compliments. ConsFuel efficiency of a monster 8 banger

Excellent Winter Vehicle — I have had little trouble with the truck, but I bought it as the third owner. Initial investment was $2300. Crate motor $2800. New tranny $1800. The chassis is spotless with over 181,000 miles on her. Slight rust on the bottom of the drivers door. This is my mule. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Beast — This truck has been awesome. All except the a/c going on the frits and the leekey valve, even with the valve it has plenty of power. It is also a blast to drive, with its four wheel capibilites. This truck is a Beast. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
