Great Car, Good For The Money — I have 165000 miles on mine. Ive put 3 timing belts on.Only normal maintance.tune ups, brakes etc. Starts every time. Never left me stranded. I get 30-33 miles a gallon. This many miles would be a good first car for my daughter. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Love It, Gonna Be Sad When I Get Rid Of It — got over 230,000 miles on it and it still runs like a dream. Take care of it and it will take care of you. 2.4 engine is torquey for a four banger, still gets over 30mpg highway. Been a great car for the time I have owned it. Dodge Stratus 2.0 5 Speed Manual — its a solid car, i been in several wrecks where nothing is wrong, it performs ok when you get on the gas, since its a 5 speed, i imagine if it was auto it would be completely gutless. its not a bad looking car, its 12 years old and still gets 31 mpg, low maintenance, overall its a decent car. | ||

Stratus? Not Us! — What started as a well meaning commuter car turned into mechanical disaster. New engine, new transmission, car's general parts were inferior to import competitors. Was totally fine up until 160k miles. Have fun while you can, then drop it like a hot potato. | ||

My Stratus Was A Lemon From Day One. — I bought this car off the lot new. I had to replace the head gasket and serpentine belt in the first 15000 miles. Later the front passenger side half shaft had to be replaced under warranty. I had continuous problems, none of them the same one twice so I couldn't do anything under lemon law in the state I lived in. | ||

A Fun Car That Gets Great Gas Mileage. — I have the base Stratus with the 2.0 and 5 speed that has been a very good car (I am the second owner)142,000 miles. The previous owner was meticulous about maintenance and it shows...the car has had no major repairs needed and still looks and drives like new. I am averaging 35mpg with probably 75% highway driving and am very happy with these numbers (check out the new Honda's and Toyota's...not much better). So overall i would recommend this car it has good acceleration, drives somewhat sporty and gets great mileage. What else can you really ask for? Owner for 2 years, 0 months Miles Driven per Year:15,000 |
