6/10 — Acceleration - well it's 1.4 litre engine ~100hp. Acceleration is quite good, but very very noisy. No ABS. Handling... I would give again 6/10. It's not THAT bad Build Quality- help... Appearance - I got used to it Cost of Ownership - average Fun Factor - 6/10 Primary Use: Family transportation |

ProsCruise speed, low fuel consumption, very comfortable, responsive engine. ConsOriginal suspension rolls too much. Small air filter reduces engine power output.

Rover 416si: Great Car... Too Bad They Don't Make It Anymore. — Good acceleration, great top speed, nice braking but the original suspension rolled too much, so I changed springs and dumpers (made it harder). I changed the head gasket in my garage... that's the only major repair it needed after 110000km (68000 miles). Beautiful design, doesn't look old after 12 years. It has more than reasonable fuel consumption: 10l/100km in the city, 6.5l/100km on the road (that's 23.5 miles/gal and 36.2 miles/gal) Wonderful car for traveling. |

Rover 400 1.6i — I like my car. Over the past 11-12 years we've built up a strong mutual bond. I pile in the cash & she keeps me going from A to B. Its only been these past few years, understandably as she's getting older I've needed to keep her in the lifestyle she wants to be accustomed to. Always reliable, although she's started to play up with the central locking - only working when i'm not in a hurry and when its not raining... All in all i'm very pleased with her and i could take even more care of her but i'm too busy to wash and polish her as often as i should... |
