1996 Honda Civic Coupe DX Review
ProsSound system, exhaust, overall look of the car ConsFront bumper, stock interior

1996 Honda Civic — Car has an AEM cold air intake, along with new spark plug wires, and an aftermarket exhaust. The car sounds so nice, but it isn't the fastest car out there, that's for sure. The car has 16" wheels, with low profile tires, and is lowered two inches. Interior is pretty much stock, except for blue neon lights, covering the entire interior, and trunk. The car is very, very fun to drive, wouldn't trade it for anything! Car gets about 700 km's to a full tank. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

ProsReliable, Cheap to maintain, 600kms to $45 in fuel. (40mpg) ConsIt is a little lacking in the performance side

Best Car I've Owned — Definetly an awesome car, has over 600,000 on the body and a new engine out of a 2000 civic and have draged it on several occasions pulling a 17, which is not bad for a bone stock civic :) this is a solid car and is very easy to maintain would definetly recomend it to anybody looking for a first car. |

ProsFuel efficiency, durable seat fabric ConsMade in the US (wished it was from Japan)

96 Civic — It was a fairly reliable student car -- manual locks/windows. It's the first model year of the 6th gen Civic, a lot of fans at the time hated the redesign with the "big" headlights. I grew to like it, and the better lighting it offered at night. My DX only had (an after market) power moonroof. I also had the A/C and ABS package. Build quality was not as good as the Japanese built Hondas. This Civic Coupe was from Ohio, USA. Fuel efficiency was (and still is) the best! It was a great little car, and kept her for 12 years. She's still running great for her new owner. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

ProsThis car gets amazing mpg!! I love this about my car! ConsI bought the car as it is, and I like how it looks being lowered but it's an adjustment. Also it doesn't have power steering, which is a luxury I had gotten used to lol.

Great Looking Economical Little Ride. — This is my very first Honda, and I've only had it for a few weeks but I already love it. Can't wait to modify the intake and exhaust, plus some accessories. Fast and great on gas, this car suits me. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Overall The Car Is Very Fun To Drive — still in the process of building integra gsr engine for the heart and some minor cosmetic upgrades plus it never hurts having a car that is fun to drive, and gets great gas mileage. overall has been a great car and fun to build Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Worth It — after everything was done to this car that I could afford it was so definately worth all the money, ran in the 14s in a 1/4 on a stock motor, handled perfectly on the twisties, and always stoped short when you needed, and with the washin and waxing I did the paint was almost perfect for a 96 Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Great Reliable, Efficiant Car. — Performance - Slow Build Quality - Bulletproof Appearance - Meh Cost of ownership - Dirt Cheap Fun Factor - Yes, because you have to dog it to get anywhere, and no matter how hard you drive it you get > 30 mpg. Very reliable car for the money. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

ProsReliability Conswheel well rust

Excellent, Great On Gas, Peppy, And Very Upgradeable! — My motor has over 300 thousand and closer to 400 thousand, im currently rebuilding it and the drivetrain. Excellent car. Honda should never have put those rubber fender protectors on the wheel wells because water sits on there and then rusts the wheelwells, over the years anyways. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Love It :) — good pick up and handeling. nothing really bad about it. its very fun to drive. it looks great. interior is a little small. seat doesnt slide forward when you angle it up to let people in the back. it gets great gas mileage. 85km on an 1/8th of a tank! Primary Use: Commuting to work |
