Its A Pretty Bullet Proof Car I Never Had Any Problems With It — It has 450hp but don't let that fool you its top speed is 185mph and 0-60mph takes 4.0sec and it has an 8.0L V-10 its an awsome car and its great qualtiy and if you get one of these get it in blue with white stripes. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Awsome Car — I love this car, have always wanted it and the only thing I would change is to get a newer one. Other than that it's great to own a piece of history such as this. Fun to drive and look at at. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Bitten — I have a '96 R/T 10 White w/ blue stripes. My brother forced me into it! hehe ! He went out and bought an '08 Shelby GT500 convertible and this Viper was the only car I thought could beat it. Plus, I've always wanted one. I live in Arkansas, home of the Ozarks and some of the wildest, curvy, hilly 2 lane roads in the country. The Viper (lic plate "BITTEN" ) eats up the roads that I dare another to attempt or follow. Steering is precise and the raw power and torque is mind boggling, shifting up and down the 6 speed through the tight corners. These are the kind of roads the Viper was built for and handles without a flitch. It's a Blast! I was on Scenic hwy 7 last October, an 80+ degree day and everyone was either out on their bike or driving the Porsche, Vette, Roush Mustang, you name it, it was on the road.Every rest area I stopped at attracted attention and tons of comments. "You're King of the Road" today one Porsche driver commented. It's definitely a head turner. Earlier, I had a couple of guys on their Gixers coming up from behind and just couldn't let them go around, once I let it fly they gave up. Talked with them when they finally made it to the rest stop, they were amazed. I do have a progressive NOS system installed, Borla exhaust,K&N for intake, but I left those details out of the conversation. The brakes are very good in most respects, but I have had a front lock up on me from time to time. I also have an '04 Busa and '06 M109R that are both heavily modified and have had both to the strip before and after mods. I'm no stranger to speed with the bikes, the Viper is extremely stable at 140-160mph if you can stumble onto a decent stretch of interstate without a trooper. |

Dodge Viper Gts Coupe — The GTTS Viper is a true driver's car. There is no traction control or ABS (unitil 2000). The car is bullet proof in reliability and can be driven every day (I have for 13 years). Brakes are weak if you drive hard or take it ot the track. I replaced mine with Stop Tech Big Brakes and they are fantastic. Once the car is aligned correctly it is hard to like other cars with this much onscene amounts of torque. The Daytona ble paint with white stripes still gets everyone's attention to this day. |

1996 Dodge Viper Gts Coupe — The 1996 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe is a collector car without subtlety, without too much high technology, and, ultimately, without pity. I have never been in a car so ridiculously thrilling and powerful as the Dodge Viper. It is not an ordinary sports car. Other prestigious sports cars pale by comparison and the performance beats every car imaginable. |

ProsEverything I want in a car Consshowed me just how boring all my other cars were

What A Car... — When we bought our van in 01 you got to come back and drive the Viper. We showed up on that Saturday morning and my wife, Chrissie, and I got our turns. My life has not been the same ever since. That car was a rocket on rails. Tons of power with a great 6 speed manual and tons of grip. The closest I come since to driving this much car was in a Richard Petty Experience NASCAR car. |

1996 Dodge Viper Owner — I own a 1996 Dodge Viper White with blue stripes. I drove the car from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Los Angles, California this past summer. I have 30,000 miles on the car and don't usually drive it much around town most of the miles are freeway driving. For those of you who don't know it these are great road cars provided you pack as if on a motorcycle. Mine gets 22 miles to the gallon using 6th gear at all speeds over 65 mph. The ride is firm but not noticeable on the freeway and when driven in triple digits, safe conditions permitting cuts travel time and plenty of smiles per mile. No I am not some wimp 2 felony speeding tickets in 13 years to prove it. Have been to racing school for both cars and motorcycles also ride a R1 Yamaha as it was meant to be ridden. I don't do wheelies but do ocassionaly drag a knee. These cars are meant to be driven by drivers notsomeone looking for luxury. Or to showoff but in the spirit of Pre 1971 Corvettes and Muscle cars. If driven in this manner you will begin smilling just thinking about your next drive. |
