ProsGreat big truck, that says it all. Long bed, crew cab, bed liner, console, lots of power. ConsIt takes a lot of fuel to run, but with the power it is worth if you have a boat or trailer to pull

Great Big Truck — 1996 Dodge Ram Long bed Pick up, 5 sp manual. This is a Magnum v8 with large radiator and towing package with hitch.Great work truck. It has large console can be used an in-truck desk. Great on the road, feels like a boat on glass water. It can be hard to park in the city and tight turns can be a hand full, but face it, this is a big ole work truck and it mean to be in the dirt on a construction site, out on dirt roads, or back a big bass boat into the lake. This not a truck for a soccer mom or driving back and fourth to school. Like a good race horse, it needs to be run and worked. It can take it. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Tough Quality Truck With Thirsty Engine (5.9) — I have tortured and abused this truck, The cat has been plugged for about 60,000 miles, the tranny ran for about 3,000 without fluid until I made that discovery, I neglected oil changes, tune up and pretty much destroyed this truck due to neglect and complete lack of money. The truck has around 120,000 hard non freeway miles, just tuned it up, changed the water pump, and fixed the catalytic converter, and I'm breaking rubber and growling down the road again. This truck has never let me down and I'll keep it forever. The gas mileage has cost me my rent money a couple times.... | ||

Good Vehicle For Pulling On And Off Road. — Truck works great for pulling. Works very well for off road. Starts in any climate. I have 227,000 miles and still runs great. Still looks pretty good with some rust showing in usual places. Get 17 mpg highway, 12 city and 13 pulling 8000 lb. load. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

Good First Vehicle — Its a great truck, it would be 100% perfect if it was 4wd, but that will soon be changing. I have alot of ideas for this truck. I want to keep it til it cant run no more. I want to be able to show my kids in the future that hard work def does pay off. | ||

Awesome — the truck was mint condition with a 4x4 gear box replaced with a heavy duty gear box, the truck had a 12 inch lift, magnaflow dual exhaust with 6 inch chrome tips, and the turck sound like a beastly hot rod, i loved driving it and i would do again and again Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

Buy Nothing But Dodge — I use this truck for headin up north (Wisconsin). I pull my camper and pontoon no problem to any lake. Its a 1/2 ton, but I put diferent springs in the back to carry the load, and a 5.9 (360) to pull the load Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

Dodge Lovin — i love this truck taken it trough everything i wish i had my 5.9 instead of the 5.2 and i want a new exhaust and someday super charge it. chopped right now cops dont like it. rainy days suck in this truck i get alot of wheel spin and she needs new paint. | ||
