A Cruiser At The Most — The only thing I dislike about this car is how small the engine is for it so much more to be desired from it. Comfort is amazing even after sitting 10 years in my garage. Needs a bigger engine for it to be better.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Its My First Car So Ima Drive It Till I Hit Collage — Performance - the acceleration is decent, the brakes aint very good, but it handles like a sports car. Build Quality - i finally got the limiter out, but once it breaks 95mph it shakes. and the breaks squeak after a long period of not driving it. Appearance - its a smooth red convertible... Cost of Ownership - great gas mileage, nothing broken yet... Fun Factor - if you know how to make the most of it, its a fun car to drive

Pros

smooth ride, and you look good in it for the price

Cons

money pit

Buy It Cheap — It was my first convertible, it was fast, and it had room and style. But it was heavy, and had really bad electrical problems. It was overpriced when it was new. But you can get them cheap. I would buy another if I was going to rebuild it from the ground up.

Buy A 95-00 Sebring Coupe Lx It Wont Let U Down Just Treat It Right! — I loved my 96 Sebring, Reliable as hell got me were i needed to go just needed a tranny rebuild and it would have gone another 150,000 miles no problem i would love to have another one. the mitsubishi v6 is a die hard engine will always like a kitten on the coldest days.

1996 Chrysler Sebring Convertable 2dr Jxi... Nice. — Acceleration- Great, Quality- Dose not stand well being hit by a Volkswagen Jetta, Appearance- Sporty yet big and comfortable, Gas Mileage- okay, Maintenance- the soft top at this age tends to start to fall apart, Fun Factor- real fun for summer months, not so great in winter.

Great For A First Car — I'm pretty rough on cars, but my Sebring has held up the longest! I've had it a little over a year now and tires have been my main issue. Then again, I'm rough on cars AND cheap so I go though a lot of used tires. The top has become a problem for me however, it leaks dirt, wind, rain, and snow especially with a missing back window. To get the top replaced would be half the price I paid for it. Yeah...I'll just go without. Besides, I think it adds character :)

Its Ok — I would not have bought the car but my mother did when it was brand new and it is very nice styling looks better then the newer models actually looks better as a coupe. It has been good so far but spent most of its life in a garage so naturally it has been good but have used it more frequently and now it is a maintenance nightmare no room to work on it and it is just a rotten designed car for the backyard mechanic I have 9 other cars and this one is horrible to work on even worse then my 85 corvette

Never had a problem at all and its 12 yrs old. Still looks and drives like new!

Cons

Road noise and no drip rails!

Fun Car — I love everything !The only minor problems are road noise(on interstate) and hard to go thru a drive thru in the rain due to no drip rails(soft top convert.) Hoping to trade for a hard top Sebring Convertible which will solve the road noise issue and rain problem. Its the most fun car ever. Regardless of my next vehicle I will never trade in my Sebring.

Pros

low to the ground = nice handling at higher speeds without feeling like my car is gonna fall over

Cons

low to the ground :-) its rather often that i bottom out EX: driving over a speed bump at over 5 mph not a good idea.

Not To Shabby — A tad unreliable and sometimes hard to work on, even for simple things like changing the spark plugs and wires. This car can get expensive real fast if you get one in bad shape. However, it does have nice styling and good power for a car of this price range. Lets not forget to mention a comfortable interior, even being a little cramped for a average 6' guy. Lots of room in the back seat for knees, but not necessarily elbows being only a two seater in the back. All in all not a bad car, I've enjoyed owning one. Just be careful if you buy one.

It Was Good When It Worked — This was my first car, I loved it when it worked. I took very great care of it; oil changes every 3000, regular maintenance, ect. However, this car was terrible. So many engine problems, even with relatively low mileage. It had a 2.5L V6, and I never knew when it was going to overheat, die unexpectedly while it was rolling, ect. One day it overheated in the middle of a traffic jam, so I pulled over as fast as I could and let it cool down. Got it fixed, didn't think anything of it. Couple months later it kept on dying on me at like 25mph (pretty dangerous when you lose power steering and brakes). Turns out the cylinder heads were warped and the engine block was cracked just from that one minor occurrence of overheating. I also had a lot of work done to it before that. Absolute money pit, do not buy this car.
