Prosgood beginner vehicle or for a small fuel efficient truck to haul small stuff around a farm or as a runner vehicle Constoo small for family or long trips

Not For Those Who Want A Real Truck — overall a decent small pickup truck, good mpg's, built pretty strong(mines been in 2 accidents and still running great). except for replacing parts that go bad with age its fairly cheap plus most body parts can be found at a salvage yard. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsIntended acceleration, 23 mpg ConsUnintended acceleration, a/c, shifter, radio, many others

Worst Lemon I Ever Sucked — I bought the S-10 new after rave reviews from friends for previous years. On the drive home from the dealership the idiot light came on... and my brief 2-year ownership was one frustrating idiot repair after another. The strong 4.3L V6 engine was an unintended acceleration nightmare that was never resolved. The cabin vents leaked rainwater, the air conditioning frequently failed, the shifter was noisy, brakes noisy, loose and squeaky interior, noises underhood. What a relief it was to trade it in! ProsEverything you could ask for in one package. ConsNever avoid the bowtie!

One Of The Best Cars Ever Built. — Good power and excellent gas mileage. Gets about 15 in town and 20 on the highway. Great truck, small, but I don't need that much. The only downside is that the cab is a little small, but I'm good with it.

ProsUh, nothing is too GREAT about it. It would be a nice truck for hauling small loads on the road. ConsNo 4 wheel drive. The braking sucks, and I'd say it's a bit small of a truck for me.

? — I honestly think it's too small for my liking. I do not own the truck but my grandfather allows the use of it all the time. lol. Honestly, if it were mine, I'd sell it and buy a 1500 4x4. This truck doesn't look horrible, but not great either. This is a strong truck for being it's size. The biggest problem with the truck is a head gasket leak. It should be fixed here before long, or there's gonna be an even bigger problem. I haven't opened up the throttle, but i'm shure this thing could get going in a hurry if you need it to. There is a small squeak coming from alternator pully i beleve. It seems to do pretty good on the road. Like all small trucks, the shocks are a bit stiff. Other than that, it's fine. The braking ,however, is not the greatest...it wont apply pressure until the pedal is about 3/4 of the way to the floor! The frame isn't too rusty, but the brake lines sure are. I'm starting to beleve that the rusty lines are causing the poor braking. A couple of new lines and if it comes down to it, a new master cylinder and it'll be good! There are a few relay problems I must note. When the high beams are OFF, the light in the cluster shows thaat they are on, then when the highs are ON the cluster shows they are off. The cluster also is stating that the parking brake is ON when it is OFF. And ever since i've been in that truck, the ABS light is on at all times. That would be the wire going from the front passenger side brake to the relays. I'm thinking that that wire being disconnected is what is causing the parking brake light to stay on as well. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

ProsIncredibly reliable and solid feeling. No major repairs, just oil, tires and other minor things. ConsRunning boards are a bit too low, makes clearing things a feat if you aren't careful.

Solid And Dependable — I love my little truck for running errands around town and hauling things that won't fit in the car. Spacious interior, great gas mileage, and good overall handling. Mine is tricked out with running boards, fog lamps, etc. Two tone paint makes it stand out among the plainer S-10's. Good sound system.

ProsBlue Flames ConsTo many problems wrong with it

Nice Looking But Has Its Problems. — The engine has its problems, I have already replaced the engine once. I had to bypass the heater core because it was leaking into the car. I have had to replace the water pump. I love the paint job on it because it has awesome blue flames. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Sexy Mini Truck — very reliable truck, im my opinion s10's have the best body styles out of all mini trucks. the 2.2 liter s10's get pretty good gas mileage especially if u have a 5 speed. and it has decent power Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsGood on gas ConsNot a lot of room for passengers

A Nice Vehicle To Start Out In. — She is a cute little truck, a nice start for me. It handles well, no real problems with brakes or steering. It needs a new passenger side door, from a previous owner. Just trying to find a good time to put the door on. Then that will be out of the way. The outside is all red as of now, but when the other door is put on it will be red with one white door. I payed only $200 for it, it came with a new motor and transmission. Very good on gas, it is like a small car. It is a lot of fun for me to drive she can go pretty fast :)
