Buy One! — its almost got 160k miles but shes a good truck. wish it was faster but nothing a little wrenching cant fix. i bought it for 8g and put 3g in it. def fun to drive. has crappy braking. its easy to fix. def cheap to fix. MPGs are around 13. would be more i converted it to 4.10 gearing, threw in an electric fan programmer, didnt floor it all the time, and had more up to date emissions

White Truck — Don't mind the V6, surprising quick with the 5 speed. Mostly used as a daily driver, and helpful when moving in and out of school, payload pretty average. Parts are cheap and most everything is easy to do yourself. Get low twenties for gas mileage up to 25 if mostly highway driving. Usually get 21 combined.

Pros

This is a 1996 Long bed truck.  Been very dependable for the last 3 years for hauling various things.  It has a 4.3 liter v6 with a 36 gallon fuel tank.

Cons

The old truck has a few dings and issues.  I have done a lot of maintenance to her but she still needs some TLC.  Lots of minor leaks, some front end issues that need attention

My Work Horse — I love the overall dependability of the truck. It is s simple truck with no bells and whistles, but she needs some lovin. She's never left me stranded, it just may have more wrong than I can handle right now.

Truck looks and feels great.  Drives awesome and is tough looking. Has hauled anything I have tried.

Cons

Gas mileage is tough on trucks.  I still get 18 MPH which is more than most trucks on the road.

Sweet Z71 Chevy Silverado — I have thoroughly enjoyed owning this truck! It is powerful, aggressive, and useful in every way. The mechanical systems operate very well and maintenance costs are low. I feel safe in this truck all the time. I always feel in control and have a blast driving it.

I love the look of it, the handling and the sound!

Cons

I don't like the Turning radius or the cost of replacement parts.

25

Amazing — I absolutely Love my truck! It handles great but the turning isnt the best. The acceleration is okay but what do you expect with a diesel? The custom paint job really brought out the trucks beauty! It used to be straight white but with the black everywhere, it really enhances the look of it all. This truck gets excellent mileage for being a diesel. 22 Town/ 28 HWY! And overall, it is really fun to drive. With the 4" exhaust, you can really hear the Turbo spool up and it just sounds awesome!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)
