Tercel Sounds Like [steve] Urkle — The Toyota Tercel is a reminder of how I met my significant other. When I assumed title from her, I knew my swingin single days were over. And once I had to add a babyseat in it, I went from "lady killer" to "just kill me". It takes a certain person to own a Toyota Tercel. She was educated, practical, non-materialistic. On the other hand, I had just lost my Dodge Shadow convertible. I was trouble. I was lost. I was burning holes in my pockets. The Tercel was such a simple formula. It was stable, reliable, and unpretentious. All it cared about was getting you there and back. The Tercel slowed my world to an easier pace, far from the road of crash n burn. Despite it being a small car, Tercel waited for me to grow into it. I used to race other random guys my age at the light like James Dean in the Rebel Without a Cause. Tercel took me in a different direction. The tires had me feeling every road noise, pothole, bump in the road of life. I used to have kickin sound systems with CD. Tercel only had radio and tape player. I used to let the top down and let my slicked back hair blow in the wind and race the stars in the sky. Tercel only mussed my hair up when window was down. In my previous cars, I never sat in the backseat. Tercel made room for babyseat. And where I used to flick people off for driving on my roads, I now took it like a man from young punks. Tercel taught me a lesson. And when it was on its last legs after 12 years, I was glad to get rid of it. I donated it to a charity that reconditioned it for disabled people.

Great Bang For Your Buck. — Very, very small car, certainly has it's own quirks. For performance, it's zippy, turns on a dime, stops just as well, and can accelerate faster than you'd expect from it. The overall quality is excellent, but the interior can't take the beating the exterior and mechanical components can. It's not pretty, but isn't ugly, it qualifies as car shaped, maybe even cute. Has almost nothing in terms of cost of ownership, getting 45MPG highway easily, and maintenance is all but nil. It's a fun car to drive, but can be a little inconvenient if you've got long legs, pick one up.

Still Enjoyable — now this one was my mom's. first car i ever drove, and learn to drive on it. it's has a never ben in any mechanical accidents but some esthetics have been hit. very sensitive gas pedal. i'm almost sure i can whellie it if i play with the pedal right, engine runs well but it lost it's quietness which makes it sound like a muscle car. lol.

Bahraini Tercel — I LOVE THIS CAR ... its my baby ...but hope soon to get a Hyundai Genesis Coupe its rocks baby ... with a 306 HP V6 its awesome .... what else i can say ... i want a very nice ride for me .. Thanks

1995 Tercel 1.5l Manual — is a realible car, since i bought it cheap i can use the money to make it look better. since there are so many Tercels in junkyards you can, in case of accients, get replacement parts easily.
