Pros

The Camry and I fought in the New Millenium Gas Crisis side by side.

Cons

Reliability and economy aren't the only important characteristics of a car. (sorry Dad)

The Camry — was the old family car graciously given to me by my folks. I learned how to drive a stick on it back in 1999. It had a ton of miles on it when I got it and I put a ton more on. Reliable as hell, but just no fun: I drove it grumpily to class at 7am and through snow that niether of my older cars would have made it through, at least not sideways. At 252,000 miles its second engine it died with a peaceful puff of white smoke as I was pulling into my driveway.

Pros

Lots of room inside the cabin. Large trunk space, and its pretty good with gas mileage compared to new cars.

Cons

It seems to get dents and stuff easily. If u even get in a minor accident it shows quite a bit of body damage.

Its Still A Great Car To Drive And Own. — I think that this car is still a good car to own today. It is a reliable car, and is also pretty safe. This car does not have ABS so the brakes are not fantastic but are still ok. The body of the car does get dented easily. Also since this car is old you can find one for cheap. The gas mileage is good, it is not a gas guzzler and is very reliable. This car as been in my family since 1995 and we have never had any major issues with it at all!

Reliable Car, Kinda Boring For A Younger Person — I've had it for 2 years and put about 30,000 miles on it and haven't had to do any major repairs.

Pros

this car does everything. it goes pretty fast, it has plenty of room for friends or junk, never gives me any trouble, fantastic in the snow, comfortable, reliable, great on gas for a v6, i couldn't ask anything more from a car in terms of overall utility.

Cons

its automatic, but its good for cruising at least.

It's The Cam-baby, It Ain't A Scam, Baby. — this car has survived numerous beatings, and no matter how often i bury the gas pedal, it doesn't complain or break. it can haul a ton of crap including a ka24de, or some friends, can go 140 mph, and since it got hit and salvaged, it bought me the supra, and all it needed was a side marker. 120k miles and i expect at least another 120k before any major failures.

Solid — This car was in the family since when we first bought it brand new. Even after it got totaled when a redneck plowed into the back with his Ford Ranger, I was able to drive away from the accident. Granted the rear quarter was squished, the hood was crumpled because the dude pinned me between his truck and a 4 Runner, and both airbags had deployed. Solid car - it'll keep you comfortable and alive.

Its Ok..not Great — I brought it at 104K mileage and now its 136K. I spent more than $2000 excluding oil change maintenance, insurance from the last 2 years. I am not ok with these expenses. Still lot needs to e done.
