First Glance, Whats That? Second, Third, Fourth..... Is This A 2015 Model? — From every single trim level there is a wow factor not available in the early 90's. My friend and Fairlady Z enthusiast told me "If a 300zx turbo and a space ship landed on your front lawn at the same time you wouldn't know there was a spaceship there". When are we going to catch up to the styling, power, enthusiasm and handling of the Z? Hopefully soon, I'm due for an upgrade from my M roadster.

Pros

It´s a Z......, that´s the first main feature. I love the look and the way you "feel" when you drive it.

Cons

It needs a lot of maintenance. If you are careless, you´ll pay the consequences.

My Fairlady — I am currently in a AT to 5 speed conversion, also a lot of work in the engine, interior, and body. Took me already almost a year to do the rebuild. I hope to upload the new pics soon, probably in one month from now. I´d had a lot of fun with the rebuild. I'm not a speed guy, I am not interested in load a lot of horse power, just want my Z looks and rides as new! (As far as I can do). After a year of hard work, i´m almost done!! This is a summary of the mods I did:1) AT to MT conversion, 2) Engine restoration (mainly gaskets, air & water hoses, fuel injecion, timing belt service). 3)All Interior and exterior LED lighting conversion. 4) OEM to JDM tail lights replica conversion, and illuminated rear center panel. 5) All 4 seats reupholstered. 6) Replace aftermarket wheels with OEM wheels and tires. 7) Full body paint job. See updated pictures,

Pros

Sleek and elegant body styling, POWER!, easy to get more power out of, and overall a fun car. With very little modification, this car can compete with the likes of Vipers, Corvettes, and V8 Ferrari's.

Cons

Engine bay is stuffed full making it hard to work on, and Expensive!

Performance, And Style... What More Could You Want! — Although it is an older car, it comes with a very rich racing heritage. Just by owning this automotive master-piece, I am honored to be a part of the Z family. With a semi out-dated interior, aftermarket support has more than enough goodies to help modernize it. Imagine the body line of Victory Secret model, and the power of a NFL Offensive Lineman, all balled up into one refined package. That is the 300ZX.

Only a 2 seater, and the insurance cost.

Great Daily Driver — For the year and the $ its a great car. I havent had any huge problems with it mechanically. Fuel economy could be better, but otherwise the cost to own isn't bad. The Z is a great car to drive just around town. I will probably keep this car for a long time.

Pain In The Ass To Work On But Well Worth It

Awesome Car Never Gets Boring — Performance is awesome very fast car. The car is 15 years old it's had problems nothing real serious since the motor only has 33,000 miles on it. Everyone looks weather i am passing them or just driving through town. So much fun overall car is great nice interior and exterior. Only downside is fuel and repairs, and allot of mechanics refuse to work on it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Great Looking Car — Incredibly fun car to drive and gets a ton of looks because of paint job and rims. Pretty good amount of power even though its non turbo and the gas mileage is pretty bad but it doesn't matter when your driving this car. Also the handling is absolutely incredible, it blew me away.

Super Fun And Reliable — Fun to drive! Very reliable! Great looks! Great seats. Actually has good storage under the hatch. The non turbo will last longer and has excellent driveability. Not super fast with 220hp..but enough. Could use a 6th gear. Can be noisy on certain roads. Everything works like new. Great value.

I Love It. 'nuff Said. — Being Nissan's flagship of the time, this is a sold, well-built car. It will please the auto enthusiast as a stock model, but also has a very large support group making aftermarket parts and helping to recommend, install and troubleshoot. The car itself is great, but the community around it makes it well worth getting into.

Awesome handling/speed/horsepower--just fun all the way around.  Must get the manual transmission--automatic is for old farts!!!

Cons

That I don't have it any more!

Great "fun Car" — I used to have this car-only in black. Drove until I was 9mos pregnant and could barely get in/out of it! Now that we are finished having babies, I am ready for a fun car again, and will probably get another one of these--they are so much fun!!!
