ProsOff roading capabilities Consfuel mileage and the ticking engines (minor negatives)

I Love My Rodeo — I have owned my Rodoe over 5 years now. As with any car ther are pros and cons. I do a lot of off roading, and not just a dirt road. I have put this thing to its maximum and have beat the daylights out of it, 160K miles and it still takes a hard beating and will still give me what I need. Fuel mileage sucks, they were never known for having good mileage anyways. The 4wd system is excellent, a 3" suspension lift is recomended before you get too serious off roading. The 3.2L V6 engine is known for the ticking noise, it is normal for these engines. The noise is removeable, just have to tear into the valvetrain and replace the rocker arms. I own 2 jet skiis and towing them isn't anything impressive. With the a/c on it drains a LOT power from the engine. I would recommend removing the belt driven fan and installing an electric fan. Overall I love this vehicle. |

Yes — Amazing. Best car I have ever driven or owned. Could use more but it's good enough with a v6. Cost of ownership, it's an older car, it needs it's fixes but once fixed you will be able to drive it forever. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Great Suv For Me!! — 1995 Isuzu Rodeo. Bought it for 2000 4 yrs ago and put about 1400 into it over the time period. To me, thats not bad b/c I done alot of the work myself. My rodeo looks just like this except for the rims are different. Overall, I love my Rodeo and would like to keep it till it dies. But of course, that may be tomorrow or 5 yrs down the line. |
