Cheap!

Cons

Seats were terrible.

Great Starter Car — My 1995 Civic was my 4th Honda (following a '73, '82, '92 Civics). Steering wasn't all that, and the engine was anemic, but it got great gas mileage.

Budget Build Up Galore! — Bought this car to get back and forth to college and that is what it did. And it did it surprisingly well with no faults. I think i was averaging around 35 mpg stock and after all modifications ended up around 28-30 mpg.

Pros

Looks: the cx body style is a very clean and curvy body style. i highly recommend this car if looking for a civic to look nice.  Gas Mileage: got between 31 and 34 miles to the gallon (I think it had an exhaust leak that never got fixed xompletely which cuts down on gas mileage slightly)

Cons

Engine: again a lack of power Hatch: the struts tend to blow on these cars, as is the case for a lot of hatchbacks.

My Pretty Lil Tuner — I absolutely loved this car. It was definitely built for show. It had a carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber spoiler, carbon fiber hatch, lip kit, and headewr back exhaust. Yet again still lacked on power still having the same type of engine my crx had a1.5L 4cyl engine that was slower than hell, but at least it looked nice.

Love The Car But I Got To Comfortable With It As U Can See — poor mans race car. easy to fix, easy to get fast, easy to make handle great. but after driving the car for a while you will get used to high speeds which is what happend to me

Nice To Tune. Cheap Too. Lots Of Aftermarket Support — it is what it is. my cheesy toy. too bad its a tin can with balls. its a nice looking car though. people dont know whats into it. nice little sleeper till it spools up and the ear pearcing whine blasts down the road. gotta love it

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Little Car For Cheap — This was not a bad car for the city driving and also on the highway, it had an awesome gas mileage, handling was fun too. It was pretty cheap to maintain and is was very reliable. Acceleration was ok and the braking was good because the car was small and light

Decent power, parts available EVERYWHERE!, looks good, lots of room inside, hard to kill.

Cons

Honda started "improving" their cars and they are no longer as good.

Base Model Not So Bad. — While good on gas and comparable to most of the Leafs and Prius's mileage, the older 1991 Civic Si was even better. 40 litres of gas could get me nearly 1400 km's to the next gas station. 20 years later and car manufacturers are just getting to that kind of mileage with even slower and uglier and smaller cars....go figure. Best way to go green? Buy a 1991 Civic for $1000, fix it all up with about $4000 in work, voila! New car, recycled, passes any emission test with flying colours, get 40mpg, drives great, reliable, parts are still available everywhere, and you saved gallons of cancer causing poison going into the landfill by not having to throw away a prius in the future. You didn't employ underage kids or use massive polluting factories to produce it. Compared to a few hydrocarbons from a tailpipe, the prius is the big loser. PS: Then sell it after 4 years for $4000 and get another one....better than $40000!

Economy Car — Small car, easy to work on, fun to customize. Car has a good amount of power but there are a bunch of add-ons that will increase the hp even more. Car overall is great, some body work need but gets from A to B.

This Car Needs More Tlc — PERF- acceleration is good due to d16a engine(non original eqpt.) braking not that good handling is good. BUILD QUALITY- neede repairs coz its 16 years old. APPEARANCE- good styling , just have no time to spruce it up. COSTS- acceptable. FUN-Yes.
