Pros

Sharp little pickup, love the Ford F-150 step side / flare side trucks. the 1992 - 1996 body style is probably my favorite of the last quarter century. Great little 4 wheel drive, had a bit of sellers remorse for 2 days after letting it go to a new home. Never failed me in the snow or any other obstacle.

Cons

Not the kindest with respect to fuel economy, the 5.0 Liter High Output struggles to hit the 15 MPG mark, but given it's limited use by me was no issue.

Just A Great Looking Overall Nice Little 4 Wheel Drive Pickup — Would recommend these to anyone looking for a sharp little 4 Wheel Drive. They do what you want, and look great doing it. If I'm ever in a position to need another part time truck for general duty, I'll certainly look for one of these. Probably won't find one as nice as this, but I'll still look :)

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Built Ford Tough — I absolutely love this truck, theres nothing like flooring it on an old secondary road and listening to that engine suck air and run like a champ! I've got one of the 302 Windsor engines, and its never left me stranded so far... The gas mileage isin't great, but its a truck, and it should act like it... Trucks from the early 90's were the last that actually rode like trucks in my opinion, the ride will get smoother the more weight you haul, or tow. I've heard people have trouble with the transmissions on these models, and long for the old C4 transmissions found in the late 80's Ford trucks, but I still haven't had a problem yet. They rust, around the fenders, and the cab mounts; but thats just cause I live up north... When I bought mine I thought the stock muffler was a little restrictive, probably just because it was 12 years old at that time. The interior is a little cramped in the standard cab models, I have a hard time being 6'2, so look for an extended cab. Theres lots of chrome with all the packages past XL, gives it some class, and is a nice tribute to an era of car design thats starting to go away... Long live these unaerodynamic brick shaped trucks, I love mine and don't have any plans on selling...

Anonymous bought one because:

Worked construction, so I needed a truck with capability to carry cargo and pull small trailer. Purchased regular cab 4x2 short bed with 5.0 L V8 and 5-speed manual. Pros: Plenty of room and cargo space. Power is adequate, but not great. Easy to pull trailer if class 3 hitch installed that is mounted to frame rail (Don't recommend towing with bumper mounted tow ball-more wear and tear). Cons: Fuel economy sucked, especially for a small V8. Manual transmission used was weak-went through 2 clutch kits in 8 years. I think they used the same transmission in the manual-equipped Ford Rangers with 4/6 cylinder engines (That being said, I still prefer manual transmissions to automatics). Overall Recommendation: Good truck, just try to get the model equipped with heavy duty manual transmission in lieu of the Mazda-built M5OD unit many came with.

Amazing — Amazing truck. Couldnt ask for anything better. Towing is great, interior is great. My truck has 225,000miles on it and still runs like a champ. I love Suzie Q. Fun to drive and rides like a Caddy, but has a lot of power. This truck can pull a house down. :)

Cons

Paid 800 Fo It And Wldnt Get Rid Of It Unless We Traded Or For A Decent Amount More Than Wht I Paid — PERFORMANCE- 302 v8 in it and runs smooth, for me its a little slow on acceleration but its still ok and the breaks are not touchy which is wht i like and the handelin has a little looseness to it which is great. BUILD QUALITY- takes a beatin like a real ford and still looks great APPEARANCE- average on appearance but to ppl who like this build, thn you will love it FUN FACTOR- goes anywhere i want it to and its not 4X4...you jus have to kno how to drive it

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Airport Truck — I drove a couple of these trucks when I worked at the Greeley Airport. They're alright, but I don't really see why this is the top-selling vehicle in the country.

I Have Enjoyed Driving This Truck — I bought it new in 1995, have driven over 215,000 miles with little repair work. Still runs great and owns the road. The long turning radius makes is cumbersome to park in malls but comfortable on the road. Good car.

Cons

My Big Truck — I just wanted a cheap truck or wagon to occasionally haul larger loads, with a back seat for my son. It's got a 302/auto. It had enough power for my needs. Rusted out and junked. I may get another someday.
