1995 Buick Skylark Custom Sedan Review
ProsAcceleration, and durability ConsGot hot pretty fast.
35
If You Are Into Old Grandma Vehicles Its For You. — The engine was awesome it could beat any truck up the summit. It got hot in the summer though. The car was very 90's, the maroon/plum color was bad but it hid scratches. The interior was pretty bad, in good shape but a bad pattern. The fun factor was awesome its acceleration was awesome. |

ProsPlenty of power with a V-6. Very comfortable ConsVery, very average car in all other respects

Very, Very Average Buick — My wife fell in love with this car on the dealer showroom floor. The color was an aqua-blue-green and the interior was very plush and comfortable. Plus it rode like a Buick, which was important to her. We would have kept this car much longer then the 5 years we had it except it was damaged in an accident and was never quite right afterward. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

ProsNot bad on gas, comfortable ride for the size ConsDoesn't have that 'solid' feel I'm used to from my earlier Regal(96) and Skylark(84). Possibly because it had been wrecked by a previous owner.

Good Value — The Skylark is a nice looking sedan. I've owned it since 08, purchased for $1600 including title and transfer. Had one issue with vacuum lines needing replacement, bolts broke on sway bar a few years back, had bearing issues on front wheels and had to replace calipers on front brakes, and issues with driver side window getting stuck. I've been driving this car for 4 years now, and and including purchase price, tax, title and repairs have about $2600 excluding tires and regular maintenance. Also excludes deck lid and door replacement due to damage from being hit. This ride is still going strong. It has had issues with ABS twice, I don't know if it's an issue on the model, or just my car. Two years ago, I took door panels off, expecting I'd be replacing the motors, however I found a little cleaning and lubricant got the wimdows moving again. After breaking a window last winter, est. more than 350 to replace window, motor, etc. Found $40 door at pull apart and replaced door instead. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

ProsSolid mechanics, reliable car, good fuel economy for a V6 ConsInterior build quality

Miss The Green Monster — The car was excellent mechanically, looked like new back in 2001. 90,000 miles and few fender benders later looks as you see here. Build quality problems was on the inside, it leaked water when it rains, therefore excellent moisture in the car, had to replace the busted drivers seat. Fog in summer, frozen ice inside the car. It was a fun car to drive with its 3.1 V6, used to peel out of parking lots when angry lol! It also hood pins installed since the hood rusted across the front, gave me lips when driven on the highway. Its nick name is the Green Monster for 2 reasons, looks hideous, crasy driver lol! |

ProsBig, safe, and pretty good gas mileage ConsFeels like a boat
35
Grandma Would Love It — It's very reliable, and the gas milage is pretty good. It feels really long and wide, and a little stiff. It's basically a granny car...but I love it. It's not the most fun to drive, but its a good, safe, big two door boat-car. I really do love it though |
