Pros

The best are the power, reliability, ease of repair, and being a truck I can haul a lot and use it as a mobile workshop

Cons

The worst are the bad clutch design, the gas mileage, and the towing capacity

I Highly Recommend This Vehicle — The power is very good, coming from the base 300 straight six through an M5OD 5 speed. The braking is good too, but the handling is fairly bad due to the inherent problem of weight balance in a truck and the lack of a rear sway bar. It seems to be built well, although the concentric slave cylinder for the clutch and the multi column (windshield wiper control on the turn signal lever) are a couple of bad designs that were recent additions to the model. The towing capacity could also be a lot better; I found out the hard way it can't tow another F-150. The engine has the power but the clutch can't take it. The cost of ownership has been low excepting if the clutch needs work and the bad mileage (I average about 15). They're mostly pretty cheap to buy as they're common and getting older, and it's definitely fun to drive with the power it has.

The Best Truck Ever Made — This Truck was the Best. I would not trade it for anything. it was a 5 spd straight 6 but it had get up and go when u needed it. it was fun to drive and was great for work. i loved this truck.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros

4x4, interior design, big bed.

Cons

bad tranny on 94's, gas milage

35

Good For A Truck — the 5.0 v8 gave enough power to do most anything you wanted to do. tranny was a little weak for a v8 and the typical ford rust was present, 5.0 was a little weak on performance considering the gas on the 5.8 is about the same

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

its reliable and hauls a lot of cargo

Cons

2 wheel drive

45

Coool — i like that it has a lot of miles (220,000) but still runs good it has a small 4.9 v8 but it carries 2 motocross bike in the bed. it is really reliable for its old age and looks it has rust on wells.

Cons

mpg but its all worth it. love the sound of a V8 Windsor.  Oh yeah and the shiny black paint

I Like How Its A Flareside/stepside — Well at first I didn't like the front of the 1992-96 f-series fords. I all ways liked the 1980-86 fronts better. But at that time I was looking for a truck to get me to and back from work. And that was reliable and it having a 302 and not the 4.6 or the 5.4 was a plus for my at home repairs or shade tree mechanic skills. And I had to face the facts the 82 F-150 was not doing it for reliability and at that time it was 26 years old and it was breaking every two day at the least. So it was time to replace it with something newer that I could a afford a loan for. That meant a 92-96 f-series but as soon as I wasted no time going to Auto-trader after my 82 stopped working for the last time and so I found a 1994 F-150 Flareside or stepside for people who are going flareside what the hell? is that. so far it's been a very good and reliable truck that gets a lot of looks and remarks as well.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Trucks Rock — This was a great truck for a night on the town, stylish and dependable. Good for pulling and hauling, what can I say it was a truck and there all good. Believing for another one someday who knows, maybe someone will give me one.

Cons

its old

It S An Old Friend I Ll Keep — it just keeps on going, comfortable to drive. it's just like an old friend, there when you need it most. with the 5.0 there is not much performance or gas mileage. the 4x4 does a grat job and the truck has neverf stranded me.

Pros

Big, loud somewhat fast

Cons

Rusty, breaks down a lot

35

1994 Ford F-150 — I like this truck because it is somewhat loud and fast, and it can intimidate people. The truck is starting to rust out badly. It is a gas hog. It is fun to drive though. I would not recommend this truck as a daily driver.
