Ford Tough — I bought this truck because I live in a rural area. I live behind a low water bridge and a steep hill. The creek floods and the hill gets slick and both tings make it impossible to get in or out without good ground clearance and 4 wheel drive. Since I got it, it has done the job.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros

Does what I need it to, good in front/rear crashes, decently easy to work on.

Cons

Fuel prices, lack of multi-friend room, stuff a Geo would be better at

1992-6 Model F-150 — Other than the normal 14 year old, 166k mile problems, it's been a great truck. Great acceleration, braking's good considering it has rear wheel antilock only, handles great for a truck, built great, just old and needs some tlc right now. Has held up great on a couple of wrecks, and surprised it has pulled some of the things it has. Body and interior is in great shape for being older, with a few door dings here and there and normal interior cracks from being outside most the time. Gas mileage is decent considering the age, pretty much the same as when it was new (roughly 17 highway, 14 city if I remember right), and maintence is pretty good if normal things are tended to right (oil, filters, belt, so on....). Other than normal truck stuff like top heavy and burns fuel, its been a great vehicle to drive.

Pros

Big V8 sound, Comfortable ride, cold A/C, Good for hauling stuff.

Cons

Bad MPG, thats pretty much it

Great Truck, Great Fun, Couldn't Be Without It!!! — This car was purchased with 255000+ miles on the chassis, but had a crate engine installed 11,000 miles ago. Because it has a big V8, it has plenty of power and torque, and can get reasonable gas mileage on the highway, though city mpg suffers. Build quality is very good considering the mileage. The radio buttons are a bit stiff, but the interior has held up very well. Also the exterior has only a few rust spots, but is again in very good condition. The paint looks nearly new! Looks are pretty good for a truck, i personally prefer cars, but i'm pretty happy with my truck. Cost is not its strong point. $100 to fill completely up is pretty bad, but insurance is quite cheap for such a young driver like me. Fun factor is impressive too. Its a great truck for tailgating and cruising. Overall it may not win any awards, but it does well pretty much everywhere.

If I Had To Buy A Truck All Over Again, Knowing What I Know Now. I'd Buy The Very Same Truck. — Good handling, great brakes, low operation costs, not a rocket, but better than what the other manufacturers offered at the time. With the Texas-OK edtion this truck looks good and has some extra quality in the fit and finish. No touch ups, and the paint still looks like it's only five years old.

Great — This is the best bonus I ever got. Will pull with anything. Least half the miles it had my boat behind it . Ring and pinion started going bad 150k back. No problem just turn radio up or take the wife and listen to her.

Good Work Truck — This was my work truck, then my play truck, got a new truck. Now I have a parking problem. Truck has good Kenda Radial Tires. It is time for a tune up and needs front brakes on next tire rotation.

94 150 — This truck has over 200,000 miles on origanial motor and trans. All miles were with bigger tires and without the speedometer calibrated. Truck starts first time any time and will get you anywhere with plenty of power to spare. This truck has never been stuck and I don't see it happening any time soon.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
