Great Truck, Great Fun, Couldn't Be Without It!!! — This car was purchased with 255000+ miles on the chassis, but had a crate engine installed 11,000 miles ago. Because it has a big V8, it has plenty of power and torque, and can get reasonable gas mileage on the highway, though city mpg suffers. Build quality is very good considering the mileage. The radio buttons are a bit stiff, but the interior has held up very well. Also the exterior has only a few rust spots, but is again in very good condition. The paint looks nearly new! Looks are pretty good for a truck, i personally prefer cars, but i'm pretty happy with my truck. Cost is not its strong point. $100 to fill completely up is pretty bad, but insurance is quite cheap for such a young driver like me. Fun factor is impressive too. Its a great truck for tailgating and cruising. Overall it may not win any awards, but it does well pretty much everywhere.

If I Had To Buy A Truck All Over Again, Knowing What I Know Now. I'd Buy The Very Same Truck. — Good handling, great brakes, low operation costs, not a rocket, but better than what the other manufacturers offered at the time. With the Texas-OK edtion this truck looks good and has some extra quality in the fit and finish. No touch ups, and the paint still looks like it's only five years old. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

I Like How Its A Flareside/stepside — Well at first I didn't like the front of the 1992-96 f-series fords. I all ways liked the 1980-86 fronts better. But at that time I was looking for a truck to get me to and back from work. And that was reliable and it having a 302 and not the 4.6 or the 5.4 was a plus for my at home repairs or shade tree mechanic skills. And I had to face the facts the 82 F-150 was not doing it for reliability and at that time it was 26 years old and it was breaking every two day at the least. So it was time to replace it with something newer that I could a afford a loan for. That meant a 92-96 f-series but as soon as I wasted no time going to Auto-trader after my 82 stopped working for the last time and so I found a 1994 F-150 Flareside or stepside for people who are going flareside what the hell? is that. so far it's been a very good and reliable truck that gets a lot of looks and remarks as well. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

The Green Machine — 351 Windsar. Sounds good, Drives good. 14 gallon tank so it ain't to good on gas, but pretty good mileage on the highway. Can pull just about what ever you want it to. It sure does have a lot of character. I LOVE MY TRUCK! Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsDoes what I need it to, good in front/rear crashes, decently easy to work on. ConsFuel prices, lack of multi-friend room, stuff a Geo would be better at

1992-6 Model F-150 — Other than the normal 14 year old, 166k mile problems, it's been a great truck. Great acceleration, braking's good considering it has rear wheel antilock only, handles great for a truck, built great, just old and needs some tlc right now. Has held up great on a couple of wrecks, and surprised it has pulled some of the things it has. Body and interior is in great shape for being older, with a few door dings here and there and normal interior cracks from being outside most the time. Gas mileage is decent considering the age, pretty much the same as when it was new (roughly 17 highway, 14 city if I remember right), and maintence is pretty good if normal things are tended to right (oil, filters, belt, so on....). Other than normal truck stuff like top heavy and burns fuel, its been a great vehicle to drive.

Great — This was my first newish truck. It was awesome, I used a personal snow plow on it( it was a 2 wheel drive) and it stood the test of time. I had racing strips and a big number 15 on the side. I would plow snow in the winter and haul horses in the summer. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

ProsLooks awesome, very useful, hard working, very versatile will run forever if taken care of properly. ConsPoor MPG with 4wd, can be expensive to repair, interior quality isn't that great, poor design with I-beam front axle. Limits lifting and lowering.

The Best Pickup Truck Design Ford Ever Built. — I have had two '94 Ford F150's. And I would buy one again and plan to! Mine worked hard without problems, I had no problem traveling in either of my trucks. They look great and are the best truck Ford ever made in my opinion. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
