Slam It With Some Newer R/t Rims And A 360magnum And You've Got Yourself A Contender... — fun truck, for a first truck it went pretty good for hauling around a full size four wheeler or the sled to camp.Gas mileage was probably around 18-19mpg with the auto tranny and a 3.9liter mag maybe 21mpg on the highway.. I liked the fact that the ball joints are huge on it but hate the price of the tool to change them.

Great Truck — great trucks had four of them they take lots of abuse, only had to replace the rear diff, looks good, drives good, comfy interior, gets about 750km to the tank of gas, very fun to drive make sure to get the v8 it makes the truck. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsExtended cab and 4WD ConsEngines and Transmissons suck

Great Truck For Little Money — It was a great little truck, fun to drive, and the extended cab was really nice when hauling people. It also had storage under the seats for a good place to keep quick reach tools and neccesities. Also the 4WD worked great alway went in easily and got you wherever ya needed to go. Downfall was the transmissions seem to go out on em very quickly and easily I put 4 of em in in the 8 years I had her, also the engines seem to be sluggish and get little power outta them Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Prospower, and hauling power Consgas mileage

5.2 5 Spd Pick Up — I like the power, Love the low end torque, but you expect that out of a 5.2. It gets up and goes like it should and stops like it should. I love the handling, just get your foot off the gas in a turn unless you want the back end to kick out. I do hate the interior, blue? not for me too much blue. You tell me of a car that has almost 200,000 miles on it that hasnt needed a repair. The gas mileage isnt horrible but not fantasic, granted you can go buy a new full size and get the same gas mileage that mine has, 15-16 in the city on average and 21-22 on the highway. This is one of those pick ups when you tell it to do something its gonna do it while you keep it in perspective, it aint gonna be no baja racer but it will handle its own when it has to. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Loved This Truck, Would Love To Get Another. — Loved this truck! Amazing quality in a vehicle. Drove it all over. Got about 14-16mpg. Ran like a beast, fast, strong, could pull. Didnt get stuck to easily even with 2wd. Driving this truck was really fun. Great truck, anyone looking at one should buy it.

Very Fun Especially In The Snow — I love this truck for driving in the winter cause i can just throw it into 4 wheel drive and just go. I don't like the 16 mpg part though and that forced me to buy my camaro which gets better gas milage. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

It Gets Me Where I Needa Go. — I like my truck being 4x4.It dosen't go fast but it can haul the boat and wood. And keep going down the road.My truck dosen't get great gas mileage but it gets like 15 around town and like 22 on the highway. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

ProsOld school style, manual, RWD Consgutless four banger, rather rusty for age, a beater

Blue — *Please note, not actual picture. Truck looked just like that, but blue, hence name.* It's four cylinder engine lacked balls, but the manual tranny helped move things along. Being a regular cab, short box, RWD truck, it was my favorite body style. The interior was nice and simple. For it's age, it had a bit too much rust on it. It had also seen better days, judging by all the dents, scrapes, busted grill, and cracked windshield. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Get One If You Can Afford To Rebuild It From Ground Up — Loved it for being a truck.. nothing like having a bed to throw junk or a matress in. Fuel economy sucks in this truck... V6 or not it blew! Loved the body.. old school but with composite lights. Standard cab wasn't fun but it had room. Shame it rusted off the frame! Primary Use: Commuting to work |
