Pros

Reasponable price on performance you'll get

Cons

Interior, not too cool compared to Audi at the same year

E36 325is Coupe — Good handling, can be moded to the Max performance with M3 parts, even more fun when Boosted with HX35 Turbo Charger. Overall quality is nice 'coz it's import car, unlike those Sedans. The only thing I don't like is the interior, not too attractive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons

Lacks nothing!

I Just Love My Beemer! — Cost of Ownership - Gas can be pretty, especially when you put pedal to the metal. But on the upside the services are quite cheap. Fun Factor - It's really fun to drive as you can really go for it in corners. Performance - Miss my Opel's darty pull aways but the BMW will easily catch it! Breaking is awesome and handles easily as well. Build Quality - A very sturdy car, except for the seatbelt clip that rattles sometimes, no other real problems. I would really recommend this car to anyone! It is not an expensive car and it's really easy to drive, real value for money!!!

14 Years Old And Still Has Plenty Of Go. — 1) People think it is a 2000 2) The interior is getting kind of bad 3) Manual Tran 4) New HyperWhite headlights 5) New speakers/radio/subs 6) Shifting still feels solid

Not much...I'm  pissed i have to weld up the front shock towers, but at a quarter million miles, i guess that's OK...

Wish You Had A Better Car? — I've had several cars now, but after my first, a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS, I wanted to go around corners, AND go quick in a straight line. The BMW 3 answered my question with ease. Mine is FAR from new, and FAR from stock. Right now, 240,000 on the clock, running an M3 engine, Transmission, and Differential, along with custom suspension from Koni / TC Kline. Custom sways, custom links, poly bushings for the motor, trans, diff, front LCABs, RTABs, Delrin Diff bushings, solid mounts here and there.... On an E36, there is a multitude of parts that will fit the car and the driver perfectly, no matter your needs or driving style- and it's getting cheaper. I've had my baby for 10 years or so, and don't think shes gonna die soon... Interior is done the way I need it... Corbeau Seats in front, and Nappa leather ///M seats in the back, custom black headliner, A, B, and C pillars. Deck moved to the glove box, Cut out the glove box door, put in plexi, so the remote works.... Cut the cheap plastic sunglass holder tray so i could fit a 7" touchscreen for the TV, PS2, and Mini PC, glovebox holds the fullsize keyboard. Phone (HTC EVO 4G) connect to everything... Can record and download a song on the road, and take video of doing "Bimmer stuff" at the same time.... All in all, if I need another car, I might just go hunt out another low mileage one of these. I love the V8 sound of my Camaro, but the E36 sounds awesome with the custom OBD2 headers and CAT piping, and rear 3" Magnaflow system, so why waste money on gas? It's definitely the car for me- I <3 my E36!!! Need help or parts? I've got both, if you're in the SF Bay Area...

Pros

THIS IS AN AMAZING CAR AND i HAVE WANTED ONE FOR AT LEAST 15YEARS - AND I'M MORE IMPRESSED WITH ITS LUXURIES AND OVERALL STATS THAN EVER BEFORE! DEFINITELY WORTH DRIVING ONE AND FEELING LIKE A MILLION BUCKS! :P

Cons

NOTHING - can you believe that? However I would definitely want it to sound like it feels a bit more - however thats it! :)

Priceless — Well I haven't had it even a week yet: Performance Acceleration isn't too bad however it lags within the first few 1000 revs Handling is fantastic - even being a rear wheel drive which I'm not used to, this car does an amazing job of sitting on the road around corners and straights - I don't feel like I'm gonna bliksem out of control The brakes are sharp. very sharp and doesn't take long to come to a complete stop. Build Quality I live on a dirt road, and one does't feel a bump or squeak. its a smooth drive and I'm genuinely impressed - even for an 18yr old car! Appearance Its still a stock standard car and the quality of the leather and interior is beyond me. I had a Honda Ballade same year - the leather cracked very quickly - unlike the BMW's Cost of Ownership Look its expensive on gas - but what do you expect from that amazing engine? but yet I'm impressed with the manageability of its consumption! I haven't had any maintenance costs as yet - will be sure to elaborate once I do! The soft purr of the engine makes you feel like the silent type about to wipe out your competition!

Pros

power , handling and luxury

Cons

costs

Awesome — The car is an amazing combination of looks, luxury, power, and handling. Although parts are very expensive and it isn't the easiest car to work on it is still well worth it. Even though it is an older car it looks newer and always looks very appealing

Pros

The exhaust note and the looks :)

Cons

Side door panels tend to fall off

E36 Daily Driver Short Overview — Very good car, excellent handling and a feeling that you're driving a real car. You don't feel electronics kicking in :) Cost of ownership depends upon how you take care of the car, just like any other. If you have a good car that has been taken care of, service won't be a hassle and the engines are very reliable in the e36 :) Only problem could be gas consumption! :P

Pros

Great in summer, handles well and punchy with the 5 speed gearbox

Cons

Roof plays up by sticking sometimes, seats get sun damage from roof down

I Love My 325 — I'm not going to go on about my car. She's great though. Built well, drives well. Its a lifestyle really.... ha ha

Cons

Still Searchin For This One — another car buy "prospect" that got bought before i could buy it. car was the total package for me because ive always wanted a bmw 2-dr coupe manual. test drove it and made me so anxious to get it. its a blast to drive, just needs to eliminate always-on traction control. acceleration was nice, top speed near limitless, ammenities inside were definitely a plus (moonroof, tranny modes, gauge cluster configuration, driving position

Pros

Makes you feel like you have money

Cons

Parts are expensive

25

Its Ok — It is an inline 4 cyl with variable timeing I do believe so it did not put out the best power and acceleration. it was poorly built or kept by the previous owner, the interior was missing door panels, shifter was bent, soft top was a little torn. Appearance was over all ok, the exterior was missing a trim piece but other than that it was good, the interior looked awful. it was cheap on gas and the maintenance level was low. It wasnt to fun of a car, its main reason was to get me from point A to B
