1993 Nissan 240SX 2 Dr SE Hatchback Review
ProsFun, cheap, and amazing. ConsTransmission synchros? Not a big deal.

Great Car To Have As A Project, Yet Use As A Daily Driver. — I love this car, it has great handling, acceleration and braking for a car of that year and the price, it is a very sturdy car and I haven't had to replace anything on it, the only thing you got to watch out for is the synchros in the 5 speed transmissions start to wear out when you get 165,000 km or more on the tranny and may need to be replaces. The interior is subtle yet comfy, the back seat isn't very comfortable though, good if you have children. From the outside I get many looks, It depends on the owner though, if they don't take car of there car no matter what car it is, it is going to look like crap, if you take car of this car and make it shine it will really stand out! It is very good on gas and easy to maintain, it may be a bit hard to find parts in the junk yard since there are many enthusiasts but you can find parts. If you have one in well working condition they are awesome to drive, do some suspension, breaks, tires and turbo it, and you will be laughing. Have your own sports car that runs 13's at the track for 10 grand. What a deal. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

ProsFun, cheap, reliable, cool ConsFactory speaker locations are very small so it's difficult to upgrade speakers. E-brake hits you in the leg when used during drifting.

S13 Hatch — This car has beautiful weight distribution and I love the fact that the power goes to the rear. Drifting is a dream in this thing. I've got a lightweight Flywheel, 4 puck clutch (no springs) and a couple other bolt ons. It's nutty quick considering the lack of power. I can't really say too much about stock versions as mine isn't very stock. I've modded just about every aspect of the car a little. Gas mileage is great and it's very reliable if you take care of it properly. This car isn't really meant for tall people but it can work. I'm 6'3" so I find it a little awkward while drifting. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Looking For A Small Import Sports Car That Is Easy To Find Mods For This Is It. — I've had a lot of fun in this car. Accelerates well, brakes well, and needs some upgrades on the suspension. I've had to repair the clutch, heater core, replace struts, and few minor other things. The build quality is good for an abused 18 year old car. Gets great gas mileage. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

It's A Dirty Little Devil, Waiting To Shine.. (if That Makes Any Sense? :) — Performance: considered quick 0-60, handling braking pretty awesome for small car Build: safe but could use better materials, consider that it's a compact car Appearance: cool, but with major improvements will be a supercar!! Cost of Ownership: quite good I guess.. everything is simple to fix and tweak.. it was built for it!! Fun factor: you can say that again!!! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

ProsAftermarket support, Good handling, Lots of upgrade options ConsLacks power

240sx... — This car is alright... but it tries too hard to be the sports car its not. I mean come on now, a KA24 is a torquey truck engine. It does have superb handling though, and great gearing, but it lacks power. The best thing about this car is aftermarket support. JDM Silvia/180sx parts are EVERYWHERE. Engine swaps are also a common upgrade. Popular swaps include the JDM SR20DET from the S13,and an RB20/25DET from a skyline. For a begginer drift car, the USDM 240sx is perfect, but don't expect a highway demon or touge monster. |

The 240- Affordable Rwd Fun — Not the fastest car on the block, but it handles great. I have only had minimal problems with the car, very reliable. It looks great- the original 16 year old paint is still in good shape. I get around 21mpg city, and I don't know exact highway mileage but mixed highway/city is like 28mpg. This car is super fun to drive. It is affordable RWD fun. |
