It's A Lovely Car To Drive And Has Quite The Kick. And That's Saying Something At 200,000+ Miles. — Very nice acceleration. Manual shift. She just turned 200,000. Has needed obvious repairs - brakes, etc. Nothing unusual. Appearance is gorgeous, although the rear view window is shot. Gas mileage is low by today's standards - 25 miles to the gallon. Very fun to drive. Nippy. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Mercury Capri — I drove it around some. It is a good quality car but being a Ford make, it wasn't very comfy. But it held up and was a good standard shift car and though the top was broken, it really wasn't a bad drive. I liked it for a Ford convertible . Primary Use: Commuting to work |

ProsGreat on gas, quick, easy to drive. ConsFound that there seem to be problems with the air conditioning in most models and shifter bushings in the gear box. Nothing too bad, if you know where the gears are.

Nifty Little Car. — Interesting history...Mazda was hiestant at suppling the engine for the Capri, but when Mercury threw in a tiny tiny tiny back seat it was no longer considered a two seater sports car and therefore would not compete with Mazda's Meita. It's a great little car. Loved it from the moment I saw it. The body was designed by an Italian (which is of course the best kind) and was put together in Austraila. I own the second rarest of the makes of the Capri. 1994 XR2 model is the rarest following is the 1993 XR2 model. the '94 model had the same engine but had a rounder styling to it. I was also told that in '93 80% of the XR2 models were red leaving the remaining 10% to be a teal color. Cool enough I own that model. The picture that is supplied consist of an after market bubble on the back. This is not a '93 model to all you car fanatics that insist on details, the rims give that way. The '93 model has a 3 spook rim. Over all I love the styling of it...it almost looks like something out of a Japanese car racing video game. And is a load of fun to drive. (It also draws the ladies attention. :D) |
